Career Summary
Thermionics Corporation, Springfield Illinois
I have built an impressive career of achievement and accomplishment for this leader in advanced Theramics
technology of hot/cold therapy products. National Account Manager: (March 2007 to November 2013) Thermionics was
purchased by Carex Corp, which kept me on for a 6mth transitional period, upon which they merged with another
industry leader Roscoe Medical. There was no position for me to work from NWA.
As the National Account Manager for Thermionics it was my responsibility to oversee and direct the day to day
brokerage team, to be 100% up to date on all accounts. At the same time I managed my own National Accounts and
attended all major trade show events. The maintenance of open and clear communication between sales and operations
was to execute timely changes in promotional and package changes. This responsibility required for me at all times to
brief and individually bring each broker up to speed on any and all UPC or Cost Changes. Consistently strive to gain new
appointments and touch base with all accounts monthly large or small.
Responsibilities also included participating in all Primary account meetings of which we had our top ten. I
provided weekly sales updates on Sales vs. Forecasting as well as ran daily report totals by account for each week.
Coordinate with executive team to increase distribution, reduce overhead and decrease costs. Trained and lead support
of Category analyst for Bentonville, AR office. Set quarterly goals and objectives for this position.

I began with this company after leaving WM. My first position was as a part time analyst. I was promoted several
times to eventually lead a team of 3 as the Category Management representative for all OTP categories for WM.

Held full responsibilities for all aspects of POG development working closely with the WM Buyer to create
successful category regions and ultimately provided over 300 “Store of the Community” plan-o-grams. I was responsible
for weekly, monthly and all reporting for over 40 suppliers to WM for the Category. The responsibilities of Category
Manager to WM included the analytical study of all external data but also trusted with the internal sales data for the OTP
Category. As category advisor I drew the modular’s utilizing Pro Space software. At this time Swisher International was
the first ever company in the Tobacco Industry to be trusted to be in this advisory role to WM. During my time with
Swisher International my team was also the first vendor to ever co-manage inventory and order all tobacco products for
Sam’s Club through VMI.
Key Achievements
• Created Store Specific modular’s for WM Stores (over 300)
• Created 8 specific category regions, which are still being used today for POG implementation.
• Drove processes to develop and document all procedures and created templates for the blending of external and
internal data.
• Played Key Role in opening the Bentonville Swisher International Regional office, to maintain and establish the
presence of our Category Development team. Instrumental in the excellent reputation for Category Development
within our supplier peers. Built and supervised an excellent team, of which all have moved on to establish solid
careers with different companies.
WM STORES INCORPORATED (1986-1998)
I have held many positions over my career with WM. I started WM as a part time cashier at Store 001 (coffee &
popcorn) on several occasions with Mr. Sam himself. I was quickly promoted within the store to CSM, to Support Team
Management, Personnel Manager, Trainer and payroll administrator for Store 0001. I worked at store level for 7yrs before
transferring to the WM Home Office and held the position of Category Development Manager on the McLane Team. I was
promoted and transferred to California as an Assistant Manager and then Co-Manager for 2 years at store level.
Transferred back to the WM Home office and worked as an Assistant Buyer before leaving the company.
Key Achievements
• A lifetime of retail skills that can’t be duplicated outside the WM retail company
• Personally knew Sam Walton as he visited Store 0001 in Rogers, AR on a regular basis. Attended one of the first
shareholder events held on his own lawn at his home in Bentonville and was present to see him get the
Presidential Freedom of Honor award from George Bush Sr.
• I had the prized opportunity to learn every facet of retail from the back door, to merchandising the shelves.
