Schobers Machine and Engineering, Los Angeles, CA 12/2004 – 01/2006
Lead Engineer
• Designed and fabricated a machine that produces very close tolerance stainless bands for dental use. Machine feeds the
stainless bands, cuts the band to length, forms (rolls) the band, welds the band, and ejects out to a tray. Machine
designed to produce 80 parts per minute and allowed a less than 5 minute change for 15 different band diameters.
• Utilized SolidWorks to design, components, assemblies, and made detailed drawings in compliance with budget,
aesthetics, reliability, and manufacturability. Focus on cutting die design, roll feeding, welding, and formation.
• Directed technicians during manufacturing. Ordered parts and raw materials.
