SELECTED ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Successfully held 3 different HSE manager positions over 4 years with North
American Construction group; Assisted in the reduction of incident rate and
WCB costs; participated in implementation of new HSE management system.
As part of a team developed and implemented audit and inspection programs
to various departments and personnel at all company levels.
Trained and coached direct reports, superintendents and supervisory
personnel in Root Cause investigations, proactive Safety Interaction
Training, Job Hazard Analysis, Hazard Identification, Confined Space and
Fall Arrest programs.
Identified health and safety issues/concerns and appropriate resolutions.
Coordinated and led mine rescue/emergency response training and site
emergencies.
Interfaced with government authorities and management on health and safety

ensuring all practices and procedures complied with OH&S ACT, Mines
Regulations and Environmental Regulations.
Facilitated investigations and maintained reports on personal injuries,
equipment damage incidents and insurance claims.
Managed the preparation of emergency response plans and training for
emergency response personnel; interfaced with Management and Union; Safety
Committee reps. to develop and implement monthly site inspections, security
procedures, safety programs, accident investigations, government
inspections and Workers Compensation claims and/or manuals and procedures
