Responsible for all Electrical Engineering needs for a facility producing 410 tons/day of PET, the raw
material for plastic bottles. Equipment included Allen Bradley PLCs, Foxboro DCS, and Wonderware
HMIs. Other equipment; gas/fuel oil fired boilers cooling towers, waste water treatment, and 2 large Dow
Therm vaporizers.
Managed 6 Instrument and Electrical Technicians and 15 Maintenance Mechanics day
to day activities.
ConAgra Foods 2003 – 2005
Maintenance/Reliability Supervisor
Responsible for instructing and managing maintenance, electrical, and production employees. Equipment
includes food processing lines with Allen Bradley PLCs and AC inverters. Also, heat exchangers, level
and pressure transmitters, (Elmar) can fillers and (Angelus) seamers, (Krones)labelers, (Kister) casers,
(Alvey) palletizers, conveyors and much more equipment.
Developed process improvement initiatives as well as equipment reliability improvements.
Provided mechanical, electrical and technical support to production personnel.

Lenzing Fibers Corp. 2000 – 2003
Electrical/Instrumentation Superintendent
Managed 3 salaried supervisors and 15 hourly instrumentation/electrical technicians. Equipment included
3 Foxboro DCS systems: receiving inputs from flow, temp., humidity, pressure, speed, level, etc.
transmitters and interfacing with Modicon PLCs and Intellution human interfaces, pumps, heat
exchangers, Mitsubishi AC inverters, valves, etc. Electrical substations, steam powered boilers and
generators were also maintained.
Responsible for maintaining, installing, upgrading and calibrating all equipment associated
with a chemical process producing rayon fiber and in coal fired power generation.
Implemented new control equipment procurement and installation to improve bottom line cost
and maximum production. Extensive interaction with sub-contractors to ensure proper
specifications and documentation were implemented.
Dupont/Sterling Diagnostic Imaging/ AGFA. 1996 – 2000
Staff Control Engineer/Bar code Project Manager
Responsible for ensuring maximum equipment up-time. Equipment included web processing, visual
inspection systems, automatic packaging, automatic labeling, overhead cranes, automatic guided
vehicles, AC and DC drives (including coordinated drive systems) and process tracking. Also much
equipment involved in tracking raw material acceptance and bar coding, (with SAP interface), to follow
these materials through processing into finished products.
Designed preventative maintenance schedules, trained maintenance team to implement work
order and provided off-hour support when mechanics needed assistance. This allowed follow up
on customer complaints to isolate cause and fix. Initiated programs to verify ISO and FDA
compliance to allow mechanics and operators to produce products within established standards.
Trained maintenance team to analyze, troubleshoot and program PLC's.
Programmed PLC’c for modifications and upgrades.
Managed outside contractors.
Management of a $1.5M corporate bar code project to interface user input to SAP.
