Current Position: Manager of Projects, Jacobs Project Management Co.,

10/2011 - Present

Manager of Projects responsible for daily operations of the Sacramento

office along with construction projects in Northern California and Hawaii.

Serve as the primary interface and point of contact with government program

authorities and representatives on technical and program/project issues.

Oversee contractor personnel program/project operations developing

procedures, planning and directing execution of the technical, programming,

maintenance and administrative support effort and monitoring and reporting

progress. Manage acquisition and employment of program/project resources

and controls financial and administrative aspects of the program/project

with respect to contract requirements. Provide general oversight and

supervision of project teams to resolve issues and to ensure project goals

are met. Collaborate with clients, facilities managers, and design teams

to ensure projects meet client's needs and are delivered on schedule and

within budgets. Conduct monthly briefings to senior leadership on program

status and project milestones. Currently managing 12 projects in design or

construction with a total budget over $1B.

Project Executive/Sr. Construction Manager Bovis Lend Lease, 9/2010 -

10/2011

Senior Program/Construction Manager provided services to California

Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) on the CHCF Stockton

1.2 million-sf., $900 million, and medical correctional facility. Project

included a central kitchen, 1800 bed housing units, diagnostic and

treatment center, central utility plant, warehouse and support areas.

Provided design oversight and performed RFQ/RFP preparation process for

three phases of the project, which included a $140-million bid package for

site work, utilities, grading and electrical fencing, and a $600-million

bid package that included housing units and medical facilities, and a $130-

million bid package which includes mental patient housing units.

Deputy Operations Manager/Project Executive, Turner Construction, 12/2005 -

8/2010

Project Executive responsible for the construction of five schools in the

Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) for a total volume of $500

million. Provided general oversight and supervision of six project

managers. Point of contact for Chief of Facilities and Director of

Construction for LAUSD to resolve escalated issues to ensure project goals

such as community outreach in hiring and partnering were met. Coordinated

program schedule ensuring timely occupancy and facility opening. Served as

Deputy Operations Manager responsible for the K-12 education sector in the

Southern California Business Unit. Responsible for the Business Unit

training program that included local instructor-led and national corporate

training for 340 employees.

Director / Design & Construction, Concord Eastridge Inc. (CEI), 12/2003 -

12/2005

Director of Design and Construction providing oversight for design and

construction of all CEI projects in the Western United States including

Inderkum High School for the Natomas Unified School District, Natomas, CA;

and four elementary schools for the Los Angeles Unified School District,

Los Angeles, CA. Coordinated with owner in the development of the needs

assessment, programming and development of pre-construction budget.

Worked directly with the Director of Facilities and Superintendent of

Schools to resolve escalated issues and to coordinate the program schedule

to ensure the timely occupancy and facility opening. Additionally,

supervised design and pre-construction services for a 32-unit condo

facility in Steamboat Springs, CO; a 60-unit condo facility in Daytona

Beach, FL; and a 110-unit condo facility in Orlando, FL.

Senior Project Manager, Swinerton Builders, 5/2003 - 12/2003

For UC Merced, provided pre-construction/construction services for a three-

story classroom and office building with lecture halls and auditorium

approximately 93,000 square feet. The auditorium is integrated with some

theatrical components. The structure consists of tilt-up concrete shear

panels attached to a cast-in-place concrete column and flat-plate

superstructure; post-tensioned beams where longer spans are required.

Manager - Sycuan Tribal Construction, 11/2002 - 5/2003

Provided pre-construction/construction management services to various

projects including remodel and expansion of medical clinic and golf course

clubhouse/restaurant as well as provided pre-construction services for

tribal housing, domestic water and tribal government center. Reported to

and worked with the Tribal Council on construction related planning

programs and related issues. Managed a program budget of $50 million.

Project Manager, Jacobs Facilities, Inc., 5/1997 - 10/2002

As Project Manager provided pre-construction and construction management

services on a variety of projects including education facilities,

entertainment facilities, federal office buildings and UC Davis medical

facility. Worked with owners and facilities groups in the development of

conceptual estimates, set up program scheduling for hospital facilities,

prepared constructability reviews for DSA and OSHPD projects, and developed

scopes of work and bid documents. Supervised project staff including

architects, structural engineers, electrical engineers, document control

personnel, project engineers, field personnel and clerical staff.

Coordinated purchase and installation of FF&Es for owner.

Construction Supervisor I, State of California, Division of the State

Architect, 9/1991 - 5/1997

Served as a Construction Supervisor provided on-site construction

management and inspection of State of California construction projects

including California State Prison facilities, Secretary of State building,

Franchise Tax Board facilities, and California Highway Patrol offices.

Duties included coordination with prison facilities directors for

construction in occupied facilities; working directly with CDC project

managers and CHP facilities group to monitor budgets and schedules;

preparing RFIs and monthly pay applications; negotiating and authorizing

change orders; and serving as an inspector of record ensuring quality and

compliance with contract documents.
