PROFILE
I am a maintenance professional with a wide range of experience gained over 30 years. I started out as an electrician’s
helper then I served two enlistments in the Marines. The first one as a motorman and the second enlistment as a shop
NCO for intermediate level Structural Mechanics where I was directly reasonable for 12 Marines and the repairs
conducted on all parts in the shop. After the Marines, I worked as a maintenance technician where my main responsibility
was remove and install phone equipment for various service providers at communication office. I have also worked as a
mechanic preforming inspections and repairs on H-60 helicopters, C-130 and 135 planes. At Holcim, I started as a multi-
craft maintenance technician. After I went to college to finish my degree, I was promoted to the maintenance lead
reporting to the maintenance manager and was responsible for overseeing and coordinate the work performed within the
department and by outside contractors working for the department. I now hold the position of plant reliability coordinator.
This has included implementation of a condition bases monitoring process and predictive maintenance program.

• Member of leadership team reporting to the Plant Manager, responsible for providing direction to reliability
team that includes the planning group, condition monitoring group, and reliability engineering.
• Visible leader and unwavering support for Holcim's safety, health, and environmental policies.
• Member of plant leadership team whose responsibilities include helping determine improvement opportunities
and setting achievable goals for the site.
• Accountable for management and overall results of the reliability department based on defined KPI s. This
includes support and development of maintenance budgets, capital requirements, major maintenance
p rojects, implementation plans, and execution of the maintenance plans.
• Responsible for creating, implementing, and monitoring reliability based systems including preventative
maintenance systems, vibration analysis, oil analysis, Ultrasonic and other condition monitoring systems as
necessary.
• Responsible for creating, reviewing, and improving preventive maintenance routines and measuring their
effectiveness.
• Create, plan, organize, and execute short and long range objectives to ensure continued operational
excellence of plant equipment.
• Responsible for day-to-day execution and accountability of reliability functions with coordinated execution
with area maintenance.
• Help lead MTBF improvement and sustainability of major equipment.
• Lead reliability functions of plant through a proactive maintenance approach.
• Provide leadership, guidance, and direction for the department in a manner consistent with Our Values, and
ensure alignment with plant and company goals.
• Utilize Holcim systems, such as MaC, SAP, PMA, CBM, RCA, FMEA, etc., to optimize overall equipment
efficiency at the lowest sustainable cost of maintenance.

Maintenance Lead August 2009 to December 2012
• Budget, plan, coordinate, execute, monitor quality and completion of all the work plans for the maintenance
department whether performed by employees or contractors to ensure the viability of the plant including the
mill, granulator, mobile equipment, entrance roads and buildings.
• Perform maintenance work as necessary to support the efforts of the employees and contractors.

• Perform quality preventive and corrective maintenance work safely and in the scheduled time frame.

• Work closely with the planner for the purchase of supplies, parts and materials including preparing purchase
request, work orders and other required documentation for completion of maintenance as scheduled.
