Work Request/Work Orders for repairs, routine maintenance etc. DP&L migrated from EMPAC

software to Oracle WAM 1.8.1 (Work Asset Management). It was upgraded to 1.9.0.1 subsequently. I

was responsible for integration between Oracle eBusiness & WAM, Timekeeping, Scheduling, PM,

Reports, KPIs (Key performance indicator), and helping OTL (Oracle Time & Labor) team in

Clontech supports research into Cancer, Cell Biology, Cell Signaling, Drug discovery and

development, Toxicology, Stem Cell research etc. It was Oracle Business Accelerators (OBA)

implementation. Clontech was using Syteline software for their day-to-day business and was replaced

by Oracle eBusiness suite 12.0.2. The modules implemented were INV, BOM, WIP, Cost, MRP /

ASCP, Purchasing, Order Management and Financials. I was responsible for Inventory, BOM, WIP

(Discrete Manufacturing), MRP, Standard costing, and Purchasing. Configuration of the system was

done using Oracle Business Accelerator General Business (USA) Setup tools. The Project was

implemented by DAZ Systems, Inc.

BearingPoint Consulting formerly KPMG: Worked as Manager in Oracle Practice from May 2005

to Aug 2007. Following are the brief snapshots for the clients I worked for:

USG, Chicago, IL from Mar 2006 to Aug 2007: USG is the world's leading producer of gypsum

wallboard, joint compound, specialty ceiling systems and a vast array of related products for the

construction and remodeling industries.

BearingPoint implemented Oracle eBusiness Suit 11.5.9 at two of the USG pilot plant in Nov 2005.

USG is having 60+ manufacturing plant and distribution center all over USA. They decided to split all

locations into seven phases for convenience of implementation and there was a gap of three months

between phases. The implementation team was also split into Supply Chain and Cost team. Each

phase has a go-live date of 1 st day of every fourth month. Supply chain team is to go eight weeks

before go-live and Cost team three weeks before. I was in the Cost team responsible for Inventory,

BOM, and WIP, Purchasing, Average Costing and part of GL & AP. The work involved:

• Help cleaning their legacy data

• Help loading data for BOMs, Routings, Cost, Department, Resources, Overheads and

Material Overheads etc.

• Validate the legacy cost to rollup cost.

• Update BOMs, Routings, Resources, Overheads and Material Overheads etc.

• Train the Users. Resolve any issues come across either before go-live or after.

• Post go-live support. Team has to be on-sight for two month-end close. Keep tab on all crucial

check points like IPV (Invoice Price Variance) and Cost Variance etc.

• Was involved from Phase – II to part of Phase – VII (last phase of implementation of USG

plants in US).

Puffer-Sweiven, Stafford, TX: Puffer-Sweiven is a leading supplier of Products and Services for

Process Control and Flow Control across many different industries. They deal with Control Systems,

Flow Automations, Safety Instrumented Systems, Regulators, Pressure Protections, Control Valves,

Valve Automation, and Instrumentation.

BearingPoint implemented complete Oracle eBusiness suite 11.5.10. I was involved with Inventory,

BOM, WIP, MRP, Cost and Purchasing modules in two short periods during July 2005 & Feb/Mar

2006. In my first interaction with client; my role was to demonstrate and familiarize them over

functionality and capability of Oracle manufacturing & supply chain with respect to their business

processes. My second stint was for problem solving as issues were becoming show stopper. They

had many issues to be resolved mainly like Re-order Point planning, Safety stock calculation, Min-

Max planning, Cycle Counting, Sourcing Rules, Focus Forecasting, Planning Workbench issues,

Costing issues etc. I successfully resolved all the issues.

Sunflower Electric Power Corp., Hays, KS : Sunflower Electric Power Corporation is a regional

wholesale power supplier that owns and operates a 595 MW system of gas and coal-based

generating plants and a 1,200-mile transmission system for the needs of its six member cooperatives

who serve 118,000 people spread throughout a 21,000 square mile area in western Kansas.

Sunflower also provides power to regional utilities in western Kansas and in ten states.

BearingPoint was awarded a contract of phase – I for Fit/Gap assessment analysis. This project was

for eight weeks during Jan/Feb 2006. I was manufacturing lead working on Inventory, Purchasing,

BOM, WIP, MRP, Engineering and iProcurement; coordinating with Oracle financials and Oracle EAM

(Enterprise Asset Management) module.

They wanted to replace Ariba and other mainframe software with Oracle iProcurement. My role was

to assess their requirements, map them to Oracle module and demonstrate them with respect to their

business processes. At the end of the project, cost-benefit analysis was presented to the client with

our recommendations to move forward.

Lodge Net, Sioux Falls, SD Mar 2005 – May 2005

Lodge Net is in Entertainment business installing TV on Demand in various hotels and healthcare

industries. It is upgrading Oracle Apps 11.0.3 to 11i (11.5.10). It has third party software such as

Clarify, Rambo etc. interfaced with Oracle. The modules implemented are Oracle Financials, Order

Management, Purchasing, Inventory, BOM, WIP, MRP, Engineering, Project Accounting, Project

Costing and Project Manufacturing. This upgrade project was done by Oracle Corp.

Carolina, Monaca in Pennsylvania, Nuevo, Durango in Mexico). It also has DEMAND SOLUTION (PC

based software for Forecasting). Oracle is replacing ASI (Mainframe system for manufacturing &

planning). The modules implemented are Oracle Financials, Order Management & Distribution,

Purchasing, Inventory, BOM, WIP, MRP, and COST Management. The approach for the project was

to GO LIVE each Operating Unit one after another. I was at Burnes of Boston site at Austin (TX). This

project was implemented by Perot Systems.

and S.Attleboro, MA). AIW also has WHICS (Mainframe system for tracking finished goods Inventory

and Order Entry), CARMS (for AR), LAWSON (for GL) and DEMAND SOLUTION (PC based software

for Forecasting). Oracle is replacing AMAPS (Mainframe system for manufacturing). The modules
