. Consultant and inspector. Currently serving as a consultant and inspector
for a $30M designer and manufacturer of industrial air pollution control
systems that move approximately 500K ACFM.
. Maintenance and repair specialist. Assisting three companies with their
operations and project management.
. Investor. Managing a portfolio of investments comprised of mutual funds,
stocks, and bonds.
2008 - 2009 Shatone Inc. Whitesburg, Georgia
Production Supervisor
. Led a team of 25 employees at three precision fabrication and machining
facilities who designed, engineered, manufactured, assembled and
installed carbon, stainless and alloy steel air moving systems. This
included ducts, fittings, dampers, injectors, transitions and feeders.
. Managed the assembly of rotary screws used in the paper and pulp industry
for feeding chip wood products into boilers. Screw assemblies included
hard surfacing on flight faces, proprietary digger teeth, and were coated
with a special ceramic anti-wear material.
. Consolidated, verified, isolated and installed all materials per design
and fabrication drawings supplied. Provided supervision and installation
labor, up to six days per week in order to meet the budget and schedule
requirements.
2007 A&R Welding Company, Inc. Atlanta, Georgia
Shop and Project Foreman
. Managed a $5M fabrication facility and led a team of 50 employees with
who designed, engineered, manufactured and installed steel balconies,
gates, fences, railings, stairs, and fine ironworks for commercial,
residential and industrial projects. Inspected all work fabricated in the
shop and installed in the field.
. Performed all purchasing to support 35 shop employees, seven field
construction crews and various contractors. Duties included buying,
scheduling, routing, receiving and shipping all materials on time and on
budget.
. Maintained a level of material and fabrication consumables for projects
lasting one day to several months.

Mechanical Construction Consultant
. Accepted a 24-month consulting assignment in Edmonton, Alberta. Served as
a mechanical consultant for Doug Topley Consulting, who was a
subcontractor involved in the construction of a $5B oil refinery.
Completed the project in 15 months, which saved the company nine months
of consulting fees.
. Performed all work at the jobsites in Edmonton (fabrication) and Ft.
McMurray (field erection), Alberta.
. Demonstrated an intimate knowledge of ASME Section VIII; ANSI/ASME B31.3
process equipment including centrifugal, positive displacement and

Industrial Equipment Manufacturing, Assembly and Production Experience
Bag House Filters: Specified, reviewed and authorized purchase of pulse jet
bag house collectors and bin vent filters and then incorporated the bag
house cleaning controls into the overall system process controls.
Bulk Powder Storage: Fabricated bulk powder storage silos complete with
pneumatic conveying piping, bin vent filter, live bin bottom, the powder
feed metering devices - rotary valves, screw conveyors, vibratory feeders
and volumetric feeders.
Burners and Fuel Trains: Specified, reviewed, fabricated and authorized
purchase of burners and fuel train components. Many of the burners
incorporated multiple fuels and multiple guns per fuel. Fuels included
natural gas, diesel oil, light oil, heavy oil, waste oils, and waste
solvents.
Cyclonic Separators: Fabricated cyclone collectors with associated inlet
and outlet ducting, discharge hoppers and rotary valves or double tipping
valves. Systems have included single, double and quad units as an assembly.
Flue Gas Ducts and Dampers: Fabricated flue gas ducts and dampers of many
materials and linings. Specific damper designs include butterfly, opposed
blade butterfly, parallel blade, and radial vane.
H.E.A.F. Filters: Fabricated High Efficiency Air Filter systems for many
applications.
Industrial and Hazardous Waste Incineration Equipment: Fabricated rotary
kiln, thermal oxidizer and fixed hearth incinerator systems. System
components included waste feed delivery systems, ash removal systems,
burners, burner fuel trains, combustion chambers, cyclonic collectors, gas
coolers, bag houses, scrubbers, fans, blowers, waste heat boilers, ducting,
pumps and all of the piping, wiring, instrumentation and controls for the
complete system.
Industrial Conveyors: Fabricated, reviewed and authorized purchase of belt
conveyors and screw conveyors. Also fabricated water-cooled drag conveyors
for ash removal and water-cooled (shell and auger) rotary screw conveyors
for cooling salt exiting a rotary kiln.
Industrial Fans and Blowers: Fabricated and assembled radial blade and
backwardly-inclined centrifugal fans along with the inlet or outlet dampers
and ducts and inertia bases for these fans.
Industrial Pumps: Specified, reviewed and authorized purchase of ANSI
centrifugal pumps, positive displacement pumps (piston and screw),
regenerative turbine pumps and metering pumps. Also designed the associated
suction piping, discharge piping, seal flush piping and control loops for
these pumps.

Piping Design: Fabricated all kinds of piping, control loops and drainage
systems.
Scrubbing Systems: Fabricated many wet scrubbing systems which include
venturi scrubbers, ejector scrubbers, quench units, packed towers (vertical
and horizontal), disc-and-donut scrubbers and baffle scrubbers. The
scrubbing system included all of the associated pumps, piping, ducting,
