OBJECTIVE

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Finning, Canada (Mildred Lake, Oil Sands) (January 2013 to January 2015)

Introduced and trained in operation, assembly/disassembly & maintenance of heavy duty

mining equipment, subsequently gained necessary red seal certification. Carry out tear

down(disassembly), rebuilds, assembly, component change outs servicing of all systems on

CAT 777s,785s, 789s, 793s, 795s & 797s haul trucks. Brief experience servicing, removal

and installation of undercarriage components(tracks, rollers, idlers, segments, side-frame)

on CAT D7, D8, D10 & D11 dozers.

Daily & periodic duties:

• Inspect, test, trouble-shoot, components of hydraulic, pneumatic, engine, brake,

powertrain, cooling systems and as required remove, disassemble, clean, reseal,

install, replace as necessary.

• Tests carried out included pressure, fluid flow, voltage, resistance, mechanical

operation, physical condition of hoses, valves, solenoids, relays, to insure operating

efficiency.

Kingston Container Terminal Services Ltd. (April 2004 to December 2012)

Employed as a Maintenance Technician carrying out preventive and corrective maintenance

on straddle carriers equipped with Sisu[634] & Valmet diesel engines all using Zulfiqur

[3] speed transmissions, container stackers equipped with Cummins diesel engines[QSB

5.9 & QSM 11] utilizing Clark transmissions, Tractor trailers equipped with Cummins

diesel engine[M11] and Road head trucks equipped with Cummins diesel engines[QSB

6.2]

Daily & periodic duties:

• Oil [engine, differential and transmission], filter [oil, fuel, air, transmission &

hydraulic] changes and drain fuel water separators.

• Inspection of all hoses, electrical wiring, sensors, etc for leaks, proper security and

in good condition.

• Check for proper operation of oil pressure, coolant level switches and alternator.

• Pressurize, leak check and bleed pneumatic system of sludge and moisture.

• On brake system, inspect maxi, brake shoe, hoses, valves, etc. for security and

wear. Also make corrections where necessary

• On steering systems inspect columns, pitman and steering arms, tie rod ends, etc.

for proper security and wear.

• Check driveline for proper security, wear and carry out lubrication.

• Check tyres, wheel bearing for wear and correct adjustment, respectively

• Carry out all necessary maintenance to keep equipments in full operable condition.

Contracted to Kingston Terminal Operators Ltd/Kingston Container Terminal

Services Ltd. via Arima Engineering Contractors Ltd. (February 2001 to March

2004)

Performed similar maintenances on older equipments such as straddle carriers equipped

with Volvo diesel engines utilizing Clark transmissions and Road heads equipped with

Detroit diesel engines [6V-53] utilizing MT 643/653 transmissions.

Daily & periodic duties:

• Maintenance gained experience in analyzing and following manuals, schematic

diagrams, blueprints same as outlined in previous period to keep equipment in

operable condition.

• Remove/replace engine and transmission as required when diagnosed faulty.

Employed to Air Jamaica Ltd. (1987 to 1995)

As Aircraft Mechanic, performing preventative and corrective maintenance on all aircraft

systems, such as airframe, engine, brake systems, flight control, etc.
