JDE Manufacturing
Dear JDE Manufacturing:
I am currently in my fourth year of Industrial Systems Engineering at the
University of Regina. I complete my degree in April, 2015. I currently am
seeking a company in which I want to begin my career as an engineer with
that will provide a challenging and enjoyable job that will allow me to use
the valuable skills I have gained in my work experience and educational
experience. This is my formal application to the position.
Job Requirements My Experience
Design, review, and Design is a big part of the degree that I am
evaluation of engineering obtaining in April, 2015. On the educational
systems level my experience comes from the classes I
have taken towards my degree. My Industrial
Machine Design course contained a group project
in which we designed the various components of a
go-kart. This included the gear reduction, chain
drive, rear axle, bearing selection, brakes,
frame design and roll cage design. My fourth
year design project I am currently working on is
a mechanical device to measure Hydrogenerator
rim movement relative to the spider arms
attached to the rotor. Through my education I
have learned statics and dynamics principles
that can be applied to structural engineering
problems. My application of these principles is
in the foundation of my fourth year project.
Qualifications University of Regina Bachelor's Degree in
Industrial Systems Engineering. I am able to
utilize SolidEdge and FEMAP for design, as well
as, experience using Microsoft Excel to complete
tasks quickly and accurate. I Have educational
design experience, as well as, practical design
for my fourth year project. I have worked in an
industrial setting at the Co-op Refinery Complex
and I am familiar with manufacturing processes.
Systems engineering allows me to utilize time,
capital, mechanics, and people to optimize
solutions through the use of various design
alternatives and effective analysis tools and
methods. I am confident at being able to be as
economic as possible, well providing a
fundamentally sound design through my design
methods and financial related courses. These
courses include financial accounting and
engineering economics. I am an efficient team
member that communicates effectively and is
driven and focused on forming the most economic
design without deteriorating the integrity of
the design. Through obtaining my Bachelor's
Degree in Industrial Systems Engineering I have
gained valuable skills that would allow me to
effectively and efficiently do the job
requirements. I have knowledge of management and
administrative principles, as well as, an
effective approach to communicating ideas. I
have valuable experience in teamwork through my
education and have the ability to express my
ideas, as well as, organize others ideas and
assignments.
I would welcome the opportunity to further discuss my skills and this
position. I am looking for full time employment for when my Degree is
completed. If you have questions or would like to schedule an interview,
please contact me by phone at 306-***-**** or by e-mail at
