PROJECT DETAILS

Name: Handwriting Recognition using Artificial Neural Networks.

Components used: Zynq7000 board (System on Chip).

Software used: Xilinx ise, Questasim.

Description: Artificial Neural Networks (ANNs) are a family of statistical learning algorithms

inspired by biological neural networks and are used to approximate functions that can depend

on a large number of inputs and are generally unknown. The aim of the project is to recognize

handwriting of a person which is implemented using ANN, the inputs are given using Camera

and recognition is based on training given to neural network. The training was saved in FPGA

to detect the handwriting of the specific person.

Name: PLC based multi-car parking system.

Components used: Allen Bradely’s PLC Micrologix 1000 Software used: Intouch (SCADA

software by Wonderware)

Description: To reduce problems which arise during parking time we made it automated

using PLC. It can let us know the present status of parking slot i.e. it is empty or full or how

many more cars can be parked in it.

Name: Wireless message board using RF module.

Components used: Microcontrollers 8052, RF module, 16*2 LCD display.

Software used: Protus and Keil.

Description: It transmits messages on LCD display using RF module. It is wireless

transmission based system. It can be used in institutes, offices, universities to display their

notices instantly without wasting time in font format adjustment and printing. It saves paper

also. The RF module was used because it costs less then GSM kit. Micro controller used was

8052 to implement it.
