Summary: Inspects products manufactured for defects and conformance to
specifications by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities includes the following. Ensures that equipment
cleaning, sanitizations and job start-ups are performed correctly and are properly
recorded on forms.
Verify components brought into production area are correct as compared to the bill of
materials and that bulk, laminate, tubes, bottles, etc. are accepted for use(approved and
within expiration schedule).
Performs visual inspection of all goods during production in accordance with the fill and
assembly specifications(aka run instructions).
Performs testing of in process materials according to the fill and assembly(aka run
instructions) specifications.
Records results of inspection, sampling and testing in a clear, complete and correct
manner in accordance with Good Documentation Practices and in an approved format on
appropriate paperworks.
Verifies that case packing meets specifications or if directed by the QC Manager, revises
specifications accordingly.
Helps to inform/remind line Leaders and packers what is needed when running and
packing jobs.
Reports borderline conditions to the technicians and line leaders so adjustments can be
made before out of specifications conditions occur.
Identifies out of specification conditions. Notifies Quality Management, Line Leaders
and Production Management of out of specifications conditions. Physically tags out of
specification production to prevent its unintentional release, and fills out Non
conformance reports as necessary.
