Responsibilities & Accomplishments:

• Lead in the conceptualization, planning, architectural design, vender management,

budgeting, and project management of a $4.2m+ IT infrastructure upgrade project for

federal client. Took the initiative to work across organizational entities to access existing

and planned enterprise systems and introduced and leveraged open source software,

server virtualization and integration with SAN for a robust, cost effective solution that

has delivered a 99.98+% application availability on monthly basis.

Lead and managed project to upgrade single sign-on (SSO) portal and identity

management tier. Project was an upgrade/replacement of physical and virtual

production, pre-production and COOP environments from Oracle 10g OID to clustered

Oracle 11g IdM Access Manager/OID system(s).

• Managed and lead virtualization project for federal client to cost effectively build a new

IT infrastructure to include a new COOP/failover environment. The successful

completion of the project directly resulted in a more agile, flexible infrastructure with a

thirty percent reduction in physical servers

• Managed an application migration project to modify, test, and move over twenty custom

Java, Oracle Forms, and COTS applications plus fifteen Oracle production databases

developers, and bankers. Success found in focusing on outstanding customer service,

of the world’s first and largest commercial web hosting services used by fortune 500

companies to meet their web hosting needs.

• Revenue growth of web hosting sales starting at zero to exceeding sixty million+ dollars

within four years.

• Substantial contributor to large-scale commercial web hosting infrastructure and the early

implementation of Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) with services such as “Shared,

“Dedicated” and “Flex” for UUNet (now Verizon).

• Helped build, and eventually managed the Web Hosting Product Engineering team

responsible for building “Shared,” “Dedicated” and “Flex” Windows and Unix web

hosting service product line for UUNet with success based on building hosting services
