WORK EXPERIENCE
Co-op, Godrej & Boyce Mfg. Co. Ltd. Dec 2008 - Dec 2009
Quality Assurance, Process Equipment Division
Prepared Quality Assurance and Quality Control Procedures for Heat Exchangers, Pressure Vessels and Reactors as
per ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code and TEMA code.
Worked on standardization of Test Certificate Review and Quality Assurance of Heat Exchangers.
Generated a computer program that simplified the Material Test Certificate review process and reduced time.
CNC Manufacturing, Tooling Division
Planned work flow and utilized workforce for the manufacturing of electrodes used in Electric Discharge Machining.
Implemented increase in thickness of collar of Electrodes used in Electrical Discharge Machining to facilitate Re -
machining of electrodes.
Attained reduction in number of manufacturing steps ultimately resulting in time and cost reduction.
Reduced material cost by recycling electrodes
PROJECTS
Automated Fastening Analysis for BMW March 2014
Checked the consistency of existing automated torqueing process for sunroof assembly using SPC tools like control
charts and capability studies.
Analysed the process dependency in Minitab using control charts, capability studies, scatter plots, time series plots,
co-relation and paired-t tests.
Performed Process Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (PFMEA), Value Stream Mapping and Root Cause Analysis
and recommended changes to reduce defects.
Re-Design of an Automotive Centre Console using Design for Manufacturing Oct 2013
Collaborated with a team of three students to analyse Centre Console of a n automobile to compute relative tooling
construction cost, total relative mold cost and total relative cycle time.
Redesigned the console in CATIA using DFM principles to reduce tooling & mold cost and cycle time.
Reduced total cycle time by 35%.
Re-Design of a Water Gauge using Design for Assembly Sept 2013
Analysed undergraduate project ‘Water gauge’ based on Boothroyd and Dewhurst DFA method.
Conducted redesign to reduce the total number of components, assembly time and increase efficiency of assembly.
Reduced assembly time by 65% and number of parts by 62%.
Design of Automotive Exhaust Muffler Aug 2012 - May 2013
Led a group of three students to study the effect of change in geometry of Muffler in its design efficiency .
Conducted the modal analysis in ANSYS to avoid resonating of muffler.
Analysed the Fluid flow using SolidWorks to reduce the back pressure.
Design and Manufacturing of an All Terrain Vehicle for BAJA SAE May 2011 - Feb 2012
Modelled Wheel hubs, Wishbones and Engine Mounts in CATIA and performed Static Structural Analysis in ANSYS.
Manufactured and assembled the components in a group of 22 students.
