Personal Summary:
I have a well honored experience in engineering, calculation and analysis of steel structures (both in Structural
steel and pre engineering buildings). I have performed well so far in my experience and i certainly have the ability
to achieve cost effective & optimized results, thereby improving efficiency, component design and decreasing the
need of re-engineering. I am very well versed with Staddpro, Sap2000, Metal building software, limcon and ability
to make calculations in Microsoft excel .currently pursuing online course on Excel VBA and applications that can
be effectively used in conjunction with database storage software for structural engineering calculation .
I have a great aspire to develop my knowledge and experience in designing metal structures. I have been a kind
learner and have worked on improving my knowledge on structural d e s i g n i n g concepts and functionality .In
addition to it I have also learned to manage and work with people. Improvement, discipline and motivation are
something I want to keep developing in future in order t o b e a g ood a nd p erformance d riven structural
engineer.

Duties-
Review and updating of Metal building software Database
Review of design manual which is used as a reference tool for design engineers of estimation
and design team.
Reporting the issues faced by design engineers to the design supervisor.
Performing review on design calculation reports of components & steel connections to be
submitted to the client.
Reviewing in house made excel calculations and updating it with latest codal provisions.

Duties-
Detailed Structural Design & producing optimized results of structural components and
structural connections with respect to details present in project information form given by the
sales engineer executive.
Coordinating with drafting engineers & arranging the proposal drawings and also arranging the
design drawings in the quotation and approval phases of a project.
Incorporating the changes mentioned in the design for the customer proposed changes.
Preparing Final Project costing like Tentative Material List (TML), Weight / Price comparison
between estimation and design etc.
Preparing and checking approval drawing with all types of details.

1. Industrial & commercial Metal building structural system made of Hot rolled and 3 plated built-up I sections.
Of the following types:
a) Single storey Gable roof portal rigid frames with solid web rafters and columns.
b) Single and multistory rigid frames with metal deck mezzanine system
c) Crane and cable tray supporting structures on Rigid frames
d) Vertical Pure tension Bracing / Compression bracing on Roof / Wall (Portal, X - Bracing, K-Bracing,
struts etc.) and Pipe / tube struts.
e) Runway Crane Beams, Surge Crane Girders, Rigid frame with cranes, solid web columns supporting
cranes, stepped columns, Lacing / Batten Crane Columns on Rigid frame with crane for all type of
cranes like pendant / Cab / Tandem operated Overhead Crane, under hung crane, Monorails.
2. Structural components of cold form steel used in purlins supporting roofs panels,girts supporting wall
panels,floor joist, framed opening components, canopy roofs and roof extensions,fascias.
3. Gravity loads, Static Wind and equivalent lateral seismic load calculations for structural components
based on codal requirements.
4. Familiarity with the following codal provisions for metal structures:
Structural Steel Codes: AISC 1989, BS-5950:2000, IS-800: 2007, AISC-2005, EC-3
Cold form Steel Codes: AISI 1996, NAPSEC-01, IS-801
Structural loads : ASCE 7-02, ASCE7-05, MBMA, IS-875, IS-1893
5. Design of structural connections of following types:
a) Beam-column bolted end plate connections of full depth and extended plate configurations
b) Beam-beam bolted end plate, fin plate connection of full depth and partial depth configurations.
c) Vertical bracing connections of diagonal braces
d) Column-base anchorage design of full depth configurations
6. Have worked on following structural engineering software’s
STADDPRoV8i & SAP2000 - very well familiar with load applications, modeling techniques -2D &
3D, assigning properties,performing stability analysis and flexible diaphragm modeling of
steel structures.
