and the Cumulative Effect on Wood Based Panel" during Asia Adhesives,

November 19 - 20, 2012, Bangkok Thailand.

Dec'08 - June'11(On Contract):

Samling Global Limited, Malaysia; leading Wood Based Panel Producer &

Duties:

. Independently responsible for Technical Operations of Plywood, MDF

line and resin manufacturing plant.

. Monitoring trends and generating new ideas for low formaldehyde

emission on plywood & MDF for the wood based panel market.

. Manage new products development projects from theoretical recipe, viz

Film Faced Plywood, Plywood using Acacia M.

. Evaluation and implementation of R&D related processes.

. Be a custodian of all formulation and process changes on the request

of external and internal customers(S&M, Supply Chain, Quality etc.)

. Liaise closely with SCM, Quality Operations for the development of

alternative raw material and packaging material as per defined quality

and cost standards.

. Modification and further development of products in collaboration with

clients and in consultation with sales force and production.

. Define the product development strategy for the plywood & MDF in

alignment with the group strategy.

Achievements:

. Develop and Stabilize the Plywood, MDF and HDF as per JAS F and

CARB II standard for Japan & US Market, with modifications in Resin,

Wood Species & Process.

. Increase the Productivity of MDF by 3.6 % as well as 3.4 % for

plywood, with the modification with resin (E2 Resin).

. Reduce in Monthly Rejection of MDF from 3.78 % to 1.35 %, as well as

for plywood from 5.11 % to 2.36 %, within 18 months of time.

. Successfully made MDF from EFB ( Empty Fruit Bunch of Oil Palm ; one

kind of Bio waste )

. Use Veneer Waste (locally available) by 18%, in Chip Preparation.

. Successfully made the Complete Project Report of 900 cbm / day MDF

plant in India by Samling Group, dealing with all machine and

equipment suppliers. Unfortunately the project scrapped in lieu of

death of the Director.

. Presented a paper on "Oil Palm, a sustainable source of the Bio

Energy and Raw Material for the Wood Based Panel Industries ", has

been presented at PELICE-2010, held on 4-6 Feb, 2010, Atlanta,

USA.

. Paper on "Oil Palm Bio Waste, a sustainable source of Energy & Biomass

for the future, an Waste to Wealth approach" has been accepted for

presentation at XXIII IUFRO World Congress 2010, International

Union of Forest Research Organization, held on August 23 - 28, 2010,

Seoul, Korea.

. Paper on "CNSL based BioResins for BioComposites" has been accepted

for presentation at 64th International Convention, Forest Products

Society, held on June 20 - 22, 2010, Madison, Wisconsin, USA .

Nov'05 - Dec'08 :

is used for making Particle Board.

. Increase in yield by 1.95 % in HPL and 1.86 % for Plywood.

. Increase in efficiency by 4.2 % with the modification of process of

HPL manufacturing.

. Saving in fuel by 6.3 %, with conversion of thermopack to steam

boiler.

. Successfully Reduce in Monthly Rejection of HPL from 8.88 % to 2.51

%, as well as for plywood from 7.32 % to 4.41 %, within 12 months of

time.

. Presentation of paper on "Economic Evaluation of Graft

Copolymerization of Bleached Pulp (NBSK / BHKP / NBKP), a

comprehensive Impact in Optical & Physical Properties" at PAPEREX

2008; to be held on September 2008; Mumbai - India.

. Startup the Plywood plant, Chipboard plant and Laminating plant, which

were shut down for quiet long time.

. Identifying assignable and chronic causes by the use of latest

analysis techniques for eliminating wastages while enhancing plant

efficiency and productivity.

. Planning and effecting predictive, preventive & maintenance schedules

of various equipment to increase machine up time/ equipment

reliability; thereby accomplishing planned production targets.

. Proactively identify areas of obstruction / breakdowns through

breakdown analysis and taking steps to rectify the equipment through

application of trouble shooting tools.

. Train the people to run those three plants.

June'04 - June'05 (On Contract):

Isofam Company Ltd, Tehran, Iran; for setting up a Plant ( PB & Resin ) as

Factory Manager.

Duties:

. Startup the new short cycle laminating plant, after installation &

commissioning.

. Appraising the prevalent production systems/ processes, identifying

loopholes if any and undertaking result-oriented measures for

alleviating them and documenting the same.

. Stabilize the production of laminate.

. Set up the quality of laminates as per BS 438.

. Train the people to run that plants.

July'98 -June'04 :

Merino Group, India; leading Producer of High Pressure Decorative Laminates
