Experience (deepwater)
2005-Present MI-Swaco Schlumberger Drilling Fluids Consultant International
Division. This experience has allowed me to develop my technical and team
skills. I am used to working in a fast paced industry where it is critical
to communicate in a concise and professional manor. My offshore experience
over the last 12 years has been almost exclusively in deep and ultra
deepwater operations on 3rd, 4 th, 5th and 6th generation Semi Subs and
drill ships. I have hired on as client fluids advisors in the Ivory Coast,
Russian Republic and Vietnam for CNRL, EXXON and Cuulong as an ExxonMobil
fluid representative. Although this job was challenging and committed to
success and safety and the cost efficiency of the fluid program.
2014- 2015-Luk Oil-Romania-Helena 1X and Helena 1X and St-01. First
Exploration well and side track for Luk Oil in the Black Sea. Well was
Vertical in nature. There were no offsets, poor pore pressure data and
massive losses were encountered. FAS products were pumped. Losses
encountered were in excess of 300 bbl/hr at 800 gpm. LCM protocol was
followed. Reduced losses to 7 bbls/hr with no less than 5 LCM pills
and Form A Squeeze. Final losses were healed with Cement Plug as well
was thought to be Fractured. The data and information I provided was
essential on deriving new mud weights and casing points for the side
track well.
SR. Drilling fluids for MI Swaco-Development Driller II. 215 m water
depth. 3 Vertical exploration wells. Spud, pump and Dump, Versa Vert
LTOBM. 8.8 to 16 ppg.
2014-Vietnam-Cuulong Energy. Worked as Client Mud Engineer on Jackup
Glaveston Key. HTHP horizontal wells. KCL polymer with NACL and Sweeps
for Main hole. This was challenging as the 8 inch interval was
drilled in granite and required drilling at balanced pore pressure
with NACL and hi vis sweeps.
2013 to 2014-Israel/Cyprus --Noble Energy - 4800 ft water depth. Spud
and KCL polymer main hole. Ensco 5006 Semi-Sub Pride North America.
2012 to 2013-ENL -ExxonMobil Fluids Advisor Russian Republic (Sakhalin
Island) Parker 162. Acted as Rig Site Exxon Fluids Engineer with
Russian Night hand. Wells Drilled 24" section WBM 4 Wells (Z41,Z42,Z43
and ZGI 3). All wells were batch set conductor and 24" holes with WBM.
Z 43 and ZGI 3 Were drilled and completed to depths of 12,340 m (TVD
2496 m) and 13,250 m. BHCT was in excess of 104 C for these extended
reach wells. Challenging work, and completed on budget and time.
Completions consisted of running 145 micron screens in filtered
drilling fluid with a Diesel displacement prior to handing the well
over to production.
2012-Israel offshore for ATP Oil and Gas-MI Swaco Sr. Drilling Fluids
Engineer. Shimshon 1 for ATP Oil and Gas. 3600 feet water depth on
Pride North America (Ensco 5006). Drilling fluid was a 10.5 ppg Pump
and dump for spud. Primary mud system was KCL Glycol/IdCAP. 12.2 ppg.
2011-2012--Romania Black Sea for ExxonMobil-MI Swaco Sr. Drilling
Fluids Engineer. Surmene 1 Re-entry. Mud system, VersaClean LTOBM up
to 15 ppg with Guar Gum and Polymer Pad mud for Pump and dump surface.
This well was completed and logged with no reported hole problems.
Nearest offset well 100 km away. Water depth was 6600 ft. This was a
tight margin ECD well. Rig was the Drillship 7th Gen. Deepwater
Champion.
2011-Turkey Black Sea- MI Swaco Sr. Drilling Fluids Engineer. Exxon
Mobil Turkey BV TPOA. Exploration drilling no offsets. 13.5 complexity
scale for XOM. Most complex well drilled by Exxon Mobil to date. 7250
ft water depth. Vertical well and testing program in place, no
margins. Mud system Versa Clean up to 15 ppg LTOBM with Gel Pad mud,
Pump and Dump. Rig Deepwater Champion Transocean Drillship 7th Gen.
