FLEETPRIDE CORPORATION, Bolingbrook IL

Director of Distribution

Lead the strategic direction and day to day operations of the distribution center which distributed truck and trailer aftermarket

parts. The facility was the second largest in the distribution network with a total inventory of $12M and annual revenue of

$50M. Managed 3 shift managers with a total of 90+ hourly associates. Daily shipments to over 250 branch locations

throughout the United States.

Key Accomplishments:

Improved facility fill rate from 89% to 97.5% through lean events and 5S implementation.

Effectively managed the P&L for the center reducing overall operating cost by nearly $120K compared to previous year

exceeding facility target . Primary source of the cost savings was due to reduced labor hours through continuous

improvement events.

Championed a successful wall-to-wall inventory exceeding corporate expectations, reducing AV and NV variances by

10% and 17% respectively compared to target.

Implemented a facility safety program to foster a “culture of safety” which helped the team to achieve zero OSHA

recordable incidences for over twelve months.

Created a customer feedback program with retail branch stores to help identify and remedy cust omer service issues. With

the information gleaned from the program, overall quality went from a 5% error rate to a 1.7% error rate within 8 months.

July 2011 – Sept. 2013

FLYING CARGO LOGISTICS SERVICES, Des Plaines IL

Director of Operations – 3PL

Managed the operations of a third party logistics firm with a total inventory o f over $150M spread across 16 customers.

Product lines were primarily in the computer hardware space but also included FDA regulated medical equipment. Lead a

team of 4 supervisors with a total of 60+ hourly associates and 3 sales associates. Completed numerous negotiations of

Standard Logistic Agreements and was heavily involved in the RFQ and RFP process.

Key Accomplishments:

Increased annual revenue by $500K in 2012 and $650K in 2013, increasing overall book of business through successful

sales and networking efforts.

Conducted 14 successful wall to wall inventories, meeting customer required AV and NV variance targets.

Successfully completed annual ISO 9001:2008 and FDA audits for ongoing client certifications.

Championed the implemented of the Flying Cargo Production System. This lead to over 20 team carried Kaizen events

which reduced overall labor hours by nearly 25% (nearly $20K annual cost saving s).

Negotiated transportation contracts with LTL and TL carriers which lead to a cost savings of $70K in annual spend.

August 2009 – July 2011

AGCO PARTS OF NORTH AMERICA, Batavia, IL

Distribution Center Manager – National Parts Distribution Center

Lead the National Parts Distribution Center with a total inventory of $135M, 265K sku’s and $310M in annual sales including

P&L responsibility. The NDC was a three shift operation comprising of an operations and maintenance ma nager, EHS

Manager (safety), 5 supervisors, and a total of 150+ hourly associates. Managed a third party packaging division responsible

for re-boxing and barcoding all sku’s in order to comply with the RF warehouse management system.

Key Accomplishments:

Increased storage capacity within the DC by over 15% (over 1500 pallet locations added) through re-warehousing and

reduction of underutilized space.

Created a streamlined Quality Assurance team that was able increase shipment accuracy from 97.4% in 2009 to 99.4% in

2010.

Reduced the conveyance footprint within the DC by 28% (600ft) resulting in a reduced conveyance ti me of nearly 35% to

the high velocity pick zone. This attributed to a production improvement of nearly 1 line per hour ($87K annual reduction

in labor cost).

January 2001 – Aug 2009

DAIMLER TRUCKS OF NORTH AMERICA

Distribution Center Manager – Regional Parts Distribution Center

Lead the Regional Parts Distribution Center with a total of $36M in inventory, 38K sku’s and $230M in annual facility sales

including P&L responsibility. The DC was a three shift operation with a leadership team comprised of a warehouse manager, 3

supervisors, and 80 union hourly associates. Management of multiple satellite warehouses which were utilized during

inventory peaks.

Key Accomplishments:

Championed the implementation of the Daimler Truck Production System which included two Six Sigma projects that

achieved close to $250K in cost savings.

Reduced variable overhead by over $1.5 million through 2007 – 2009 through team carried Kaizen events throughout each

department.

Implemented a WMS, RF management syste m with the host system SAP.

Developed and maintained safety training programs which included HAZCOM, Lockout/Tag out, CPR/First Aid,

Emergency Preparation, PPE, and maintained OSHA compliance. Responsible for all safety related training and

documentation. Helped to reduced recordable accident and lost time rate by 80% during 2006 -2009.

Assisted in negotiating 3 successful collective bargaining agreements.
