WORK EXPERIENCE:
DK Painting and Constructions, LLC, Industrial Engineer Intern – Richardson, TX August 2013 –
May 2014
• Created Material Requirement Plan for each project. Reduced the material expenses by 23% for one of
the project using Material Requisition Plan.
• Process mapping with the observation made on the job site with key up to day reporting.
• Setup performance capability of the labor in terms of material consumption using Statistical Process
Control.
• Performed time study on each specific work activity to reestablish time standard for the estimation
department.
• Performed data analysis with the material consumption and created key metrics to scope the project and
created material forecast and projection for each project with the metrics computed from the data analysis.
GENCO ATC, Industrial Engineer Project Trainee – Fort Worth, TX January 2013 –
May 2013
• Manpower allocation using dynamic demand scenarios and performed discrete event simulation for the
cosmetic workstation with its layout.
• Results from the simulation were helpful in reducing the labor up to 75%, 55% and 16% for various
demand scenarios. One workstation was removed to increase the floor space for holding inventory.
Micro Precision, Manufacturing Engineer Intern – Chennai, India June 2010 –
May 2012
• Developed MRP for the parts that has to be machined based on the design inputs.
• Coordinated with the client for the design requirements, in charge for Routing, Bill of Material and
Procurement.
• Collected and analyzed data from machining work station using direct time study. From the time study
problems were identified and improvement method was suggested. Results were found to be reduction in
cycle time (129 seconds) for that particular operation by improvement methods.
• Machining station improvement for the loader commander operation using 5S and Continuous
Improvement (Kaizan).
