ACADEMIC PROJECTS:
Image Searching Engine April 2014
• Built a full image search engine, which associates with a 10K image database.
• Provide query-by-image and query-by-word images categories search.
• DenseSIFT function of OpenCV has been used to get the descriptors of each images.
• Locality-constrained Linear Coding(LLC) and Kernel-Based Supervised Hashing algorithm are
used to realize query-by-image. Support Vector Machine(SVM) is used to realize query-by-word.
• TF-IDF is to weighting scheme of each image and to ranking all of the results.
Object Recognition Algorithm May 2014
• Built to test the images and return categories to the system.
• Used SIFT(Scale-invariant feature transform) function from VLFeat library to detect and
extract the descriptors.
• K-means algorithm to calculate convergence cluster center.
• LLC created the images matrix of all descriptors instead of Bag-of-words model.
• Programmed K-Nearest Neighbors(KNN) to select K nearest training images.
OpenGL Rendering Project March 2015
• Built a height map with Grey-scale image and applied Multi-textures rendering with splat mapping.
• Implemented the rotation camera with mouse movement and keyboard input.
• Used 5 Depth Octree structure save the whole environment and implement the partial rendering.
• Built a particle system to generate the flocking boids by instancing.
• Implemented the collision detection for the multiple objects.
WORK EXPERIENCE:
Xi’an University of Architecture and Technology Xi’an, China
Intern, Computer Science Lab, IEEE contest.
IEEE Micro-mouse Contest (Third prize in Electronic Mouse Competition) March 2012
• Development the Micro-mouse searched 16*16 maze independently, and make a spurt from origin
to the exit line.
• Used Weight-flooding Algorithm calculate the shortest path, and left-hand algorithm to search the maze.
• Programmed two-dimensional matrix to save the maze and the shortest path.
