Project VCI, VCPA, VCPG
Platform O racle 9i, Toad, Business Objects 5.x, HPUX, Win XP
* *Received HP Award for Excellent Contribution with personal commitment* *
Virtual Credit Intelligence (VCI) is the Global Credit and Collections Data Warehouse providing a standard worldwide
reporting environment. VCI is also designed to deliver business intelligence so that Hewlett Packard can better manage
the credit lines of its customers. Business Objects is the tool used in VCI. My role was to efficiently design the
repositories; ensure the productive output for the schedulers and the Web Intelligence services.
Virtual Credit Professional - Analysis (VCPA) is a web-based intranet application that is a credit analysis tool and a
data repository for HP customer credit-related information. It is the unique front office credit application used by HP
Credit to support transaction processing, decision making, static credit data maintenance, and document management.
All customer information, credit approvals and static credit data such as credit rating, credit line, credit scores,
financial information and credit analysis, is stored in one central location easily accessible by the WW credit
community, regardless of physical location.
Virtual Credit Professional - Global (VCPG) is a WW operational credit data store for exposure consolidation and
order filtering. It has a daily feed from HP customer master systems as well as daily feeds from HP accounts
receivable systems. VCPG also contains a customer cross reference table, which houses HP internal customer
identification numbers as well as the corresponding D&B numbers and hierarchy information. This allows HP Credit
to aggregate A/R exposure at a country legal entity level and enables a consistent treatment of a customer across all
related sites within a company’s legal structure.
My role included the following tasks:
1.Technical expert for credit application suites
2.Responsible for the high-availability of the applications and performance issues
3.Strategizing and implementing the new releases/features.
4.Problem analysis; Recovery; Communication and coordination with data providers for inbound and recipients of
outbound.
5.Testing and move-to-production activities of new projects and involved in the testing of service requests.
6.XML feasibility analysis for repository data storage for local access
7.Performance tuning of repositories for improving productivity
Project MAXIMO
Client Hewlett Packard (HP), India
Role Technical Analyst – Tier I
Duration March 2004 - May 2004
Platform SQL Server 2000, Win 2000
Maximo is a real estate workspace application (REWS) used to create and maintain work orders for all the service calls
which are routed to a call centre at Houston .It is also used to store details about how to fix an issue or maintain an
equipment. It helps in auditing of items in the inventory.
My role included the following tasks:
1.Assisting the lead architect in designing workflow tables
2.Fine tuning the workflow data source for efficient usage.
3.Responsible for the high-availability and accuracy of the report generation capability
4.Assign security groups to the applications users based on their roles
5.Performance tuning of repositories for improving productivity
Project On Guard
Client Hewlett Packard (HP), India
Role Technical Analyst – Tier I
Duration February 2004 - March 2004
Platform SQL Server 2000, Win 2000
On Guard application is used to monitor the site doors, alarms, cameras of a particular site. This application can also
be used to monitor security across a region or several sites/locations. On Guard offers the ability to partition the system
database into several individual segments. Each partitioned segment contains its own unique parameters and guidelines
for management, such as for access levels, time zones, and cardholders. Each operator within the system has unique
viewing, adding, modifying, and deleting rights over their segment's data. Multi-tenant environments can manage each
individual tenant under their own segment while keeping each company's data restricted only to their users. Corporate
environments use this option to allow their distinct operations/sites to have partitioned security while maintaining a
single cardholder population.
My role included the following tasks:
Regression testing of security applications to ensure high quality and safe operation of critical processes
Assign security groups to the applications users based on their roles
Project Product Packaging
Client HSBC, India
Role Packaging Support Engineer
Duration Sep 2002 – Feb 2004
P latform I nstallShield, Tivoli, Win 2000, Win NT
The project involved application migration and developing silent setups. Application migration is the process of
converting third party installation packages into Windows Installer setups (.msi) or InstallShield setups (setup.exe)
with the customizations. The packaged application consists of a setup.exe and the Install and removes batch scripts
which are used to initiate the install and remove the application.
The Tivoli software package editor [SPE] is used to create the software package block. The Tivoli desktop is then used
to create the software package profile through which the application is remotely distributed to several machines. Using
InstallShield and Windows Installer services as a packaging and deployment mechanism helped to simplify the overall
deployment and management process and lowered costs associated with the application deployment.
My role included the following tasks:
1.Create test scripts to test application installations
2.Application repackaging using Install Shield developer and Windows installer
3.Support, maintain and debug applications in adherence to company standardsProject
