CDI is the heart of the bike. The main function of CDI is to genrate the spark depending upon the RPM of the
bike.Depending Upon the Temperatue ignition timing as well as Auto Chok Time varies.CDI uses the DTSI technology to
improve the Engine efficiency in BAJAJ.
While In TCI alternating current signal is shaped in igniter and then relayed through a control circuit to the base of the primary
circuit POWER TRANSISTOR.
Single sided placed component CDI is challenge in design for automotives, Achieved making Asia’s first single sided placed
compnent CDI with EMC and all Reliability results achieved.That is effective in cost & time saving .
Responsibilities:
Understanding the System requirement for Power track width calculation as per IPC2221 A

Schematic generation from requirement specification document.

Noise & EMI EMC is fatal hence Proper placed Layout as per the Schematic generated.

Proper Grounding is the main concern for CDI, Star grounding techniques is preferred in it.

Separation of Analog and digital grounds.

BOM preparation and component ordering.

Coordination with Design engineers and CAD team.

2. Project : Regulator and Rectifier unit (1Ø & 3Ø)

The battery itself is charged by a generator driven by the engine, and as long as the engine is running there will be a current
flowing through the battery. With Load the voltage of a fully charged battery is 14 Vdc. For charging it the charging system should
provide a voltage of about 14.4 Vdc and this should be a constant voltage at all engine speeds.
Metal clad PCB layout is always a challenge due to single sided placement and limitation of through hole and vias but, achieved
making Metal clad RR for BMW, HONDA and HARLEY DAVIDSON both 1Ø and 3Ø.

3. Project : I3S CONTROLLER (INTELLIGENT START STOP SYSTEM)
Client : HERO MOTO CORPS (iSmart)
A technology that till now has been limited to cars in India, switches off the ignition when it senses that the engine has
been idling for about 30 seconds. When you switch on the system and come to a halt after putting the bike in neutral,
the engine shuts off after 5 seconds. Whenever you are ready to move again, just press the clutch and the engine will
come back to life again.
We developed the same and with single sided placement of components my PCB is more cost and time efficient with
much effective results.

4. Project : LCM BULB, LCM LED (Light Control Module), HEAD LAMP CONTROLLER, & FLASHERS

Head lamp controller is based on microcontroller that makes H/L ON/OFF with and without engine rpm i/p and with and
without Vss i/p including battery reversal, short circuit, horn noise protection.
Light control module for Bulb and Led is relay based flashers.
Electronic flashers, simple electronic circuit; a quartz crystal when a DC voltage is applied to it, 'oscillates' providing a
square wave out put but for a much smaller current. Using transistors, however, to pass a higher current, triggered by the
crystal output, can provide an on off supply straight.
No moving part, and fixed timing independent of load, provided its within the device rating.

Applications for linear output Hall Effect sensors, such as displacement and angular position require high accuracy in
conjunction. Hall effect sensors provide a voltage output that is proportional to the applieded magnetic field . It is used
in neutral switch, roll over, bank angle position applications.
The reed switch is an electrical switch operated by an applied magnetic field is used in bikes side stand applications.
