XCOM - MFT - The primary purpose of this project is to convert all

Integration's Ab Initio jobs/graphs that invokes the XCOM component to the

new file transfer component that Enterprise had developed. In addition, a

generic mass file transfer routine will be introduced using a configuration

file. This routine will be called by all "XCOM" graphs in Integration's

inventory.

DCM (Data Center Migration) In order to provide robust computing

environments, reduce deployment & operating costs, improve DR and support

new technologies, Allstate will be adopting a 2 data center model. As part

of this all the existing servers ( Windows, Unix and DB) are migrated to

new Data center Environment that includes code changes for server, file

location.

Responsibilities:

. Identify all XCOM processes/graphs that are owned and maintained by AFT

Integration. Gather all the configuration profile and place them a single

repository.

. Introduce Oracle tables that hold the configuration and access profiles.

. Preparation of Design, Code inspection, UTP documents.

. Convert the existing AFT XCOM graphs to call the AFT Common/Generic Bulk

Transfer graph.

. Remediate ab initio code to meet GPP, ISG changes to the data directory

and the landing zone changes. Also internal standards like referencing

all dbc files for the ab initio processes to AFT COMMON DB and removing

the Unicenter command lines in the allstate scripts.

In AFT (Allstate Financial Technologies) System involves Integration of

data from Admin Systems & Producer Systems. Admin systems includes CKS,

CK4, CKI, ATLAS, LIFE70.

List of application we support includes Operational Data Store (ODS), Asset

Feeds, Sales force, TAI, producer and EPC. In the AFT system the financial

data for Premium, Claims and Sales is loaded to Unix system on a daily,

weekly and monthly basis using XCOM. Ab-Initio graphs are executed against

this data to perform transforms and edits. The ASP.NET user interface

(browser based) is used for validation of control totals, error correction,

resubmission and viewing reports.

Services to be performed by the Syntel can be divided into 2 major

classifications:

Maintenance Service Requests (Non-discretionary): Typically, this

represents work that must be performed by Syntel and is considered Syntel's

1st priority. Syntel's performance against work assigned is tracked and

reported on a monthly basis; typically represents production fixes and

administrative requests for production environment. Jobs run on daily and

monthly basis. Order of priority for any tickets is assigned by Allstate

and will fall into one of 3 severity levels (1-emergency or 2-critical)

Maintenance and Enhancement Services (Discretionary): Represents work that

is a lower priority for Syntel will be completed as time permits and is

assigned a priority on a case by case basis by Allstate and the Syntel;

typically represents enhancement type requests. This includes severity-3

service requests (non-critical maintenance) and severity-4 service requests

(enhancements).

application, documenting business rules and developing interfaces. Syntel

will leverage reports development experience and support Freightliner with

reports development elaborations in the environment provided by

testing of OWL reports.

competitors. The system allows marketing and sales users to maintain

targets for various products. A forecast is made for the potential that can

be achieved by users from current year and next five years. The invoices

are fed into the system via the Data warehouse.
