Description:

IPRS:

Division of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS) is the central repository for criminal justice information. Many

customers interact with DCJS to receive information and/or to add/update information that compiles an

individual computerized criminal history (CCH).

The Office of Probation and Correctional Alternatives (OPCA) is the oversight agency for all of the County

Probation Departments and NYC Probation Departments. NYS County and NYC Probation Departments

access the DCJS repository for information on individuals they hold responsibility for supervising. Through

various methods, Probation Departments also provide DCJS with information via adding and updating

probation information, etc. This real time interaction and updating capability enhances public safety for the

citizens of New York State.

Civil Management:

Forte To Java (F2J) projects are converting the legacy FORTE applications to latest Java application with

add on features which makes the system efficient in terms of various factors like ease of use, performance,

enhanced features, etc. Civil Management system tracks the list of Sex Offenders in NY State who are

serving their sentence and ready for their parole or release. Those sex offenders must be evaluated before

a decision is made on their release by various agencies like Department of Corrections and Community

Supervision(DOCCS), Office of Mental Health (OMH), Office of Mental Retardation and Developmental

Disabilities (OMRRD), Office of Attorney General (OAG), etc.

Agency Maintenance:

Agency Maintenance is another system which is a repository of various NY state agencies like Law

determine a person's needs and eligibility for program services. The system will be residing on the NYS DOH

created and managed web site called Health Commerce System (HCS). The project is executed in multiple

iterations to better refine the requirements and the new process/workflow.
