Plant: 500 KTA Purified Terephthalic Acid (PTA)

Technology: Imperial Chemical Industries (ICI) [now owned by Du Pont].

Description: This plant comprises conversion of Paraxylene to

Terephthalic Acid in which Paraxylene react with air and

produces Terephthalic Acid which further purify and becomes

Purified Terephthalic Acid (PTA). The plant includes CSTR

reactor, Dehydration Column, Crystallizers, Dryers, Process

Air Compressor, and Centrifuge etc.

Responsibilities:

< Analyze technical aspects & cost benefits of Management of changes

(MOC) and update/prepare PFD, P&IDs.

< P & ID updating and modification as per necessity.

< Line sizing, Pressure Drop calculation.

< Prepare Process Datasheets for new equipment's & instruments for

procurement.

< Provide technical support for troubleshooting of plant problems and

prepare analysis report.

< Currently working in Alarm Rationalization Team in order to

optimize the current DCS Handling.

< Worked in Plant Advanced Process Control Team.

< Have been trained in simulation software of ProDyn by Honeywell

upto level 3.

< Looking proper working of Process Air Compressor (PAC), provided by

Siemens Technology (20.1MW Capacity).
