Title :Evaluation of Mechanical properties of Fiber Glass Sandwich

Laminate

TANEJA AEROSPACE AND AVIATION LTD, HOSUR

Description : The main objectives of our project are to find the mechanical

properties of a sandwich laminated. It consists of two different fibers, two methods to

find out the properties they are mathematical and shell 99 (ANSYS) and comparing

the same result with experimental reading. Properties of glass, carbon fiber and

hybrid composite obtained by ROM (Rule of Mixture) method. Shell 99 (ANSYS)

Software is applied to verify the Results obtained by Analytical Calculations.

PROJECT 2

Title : Study of Low Reynolds Number Airfoil for UAV.

Description : Wing design for Tactical UAV application requires a special approach

which is different from man operated airplanes. The maximum lift is a primary factor to

achieve high endurance factor values and short takeoff and landing distance. The

permanent design problems for UAV wing design is engineering compromise between

achieving maximum lift, reducing drag penalty for high speed flight and providing

flight envelope capabilities from low lift maximum speed flight up to stall lift levels. Our

project goes with an aim to study and analysis the characteristic of low Reynolds

number high lift airfoil’s which could compromise the present situation problems.
