Applied Lean Manufacturing to a palletizing routine to minimize the path of the picking/dropping sequence to

reduce cycle time by five seconds per pallet.

Re-arranged cell’s sensors and added an electrical slide to the robot arm to mount part present sensor on the end-

effector. Increased Robotics cell production by 25%.

Re-designed 10 Robotics cells to replace Relay controls with Robot’s software interrupts to make cells more

flexible and to run different parts/programs. Increased Robotics cell production by 30%.

Modified five Robotic cell layouts and rebuilt cell electrical control cabinets, reducing cell space by 40%.

Automated a 2500-ton die cast cell to eliminate injuries, by integrating a 6400 ABB robot, 4400 ABB robot,

casting de-gating station, casting quenching station, and casting-trimming machine.

Designed the layout, robot program, and electrical schematic (wiring diagram, conduit layout, bill of materials,

and logic diagrams) for the above cell.

Designed new and rebuilt Leak Tester machine to test casting for leaking, using a Cincinnati Leak Tester

control, an Automation Direct programmable control (PLC) and an Operator Interface Unit. Production was

increased by 40%.
