Project Description
A second largest man made white water rafting, kayaking and surfing
facility in UAE. Recently, I have successfully completed the following
heavy tasks to open the Park with the pre-opening team to run the
operation:
Duties / Responsibilities
Preopening
Designs the Chart of Account to be utilized for the park under one back office
system
Monitoring and follow up all software to be used in the park (i.e. SAP FI & MM &
POS (Out let point of sales).
Create the purchasing hierarchy of the park for SAP MM.
Create the profit center and cost centers for SAP FI.
Create and Upload all finance date in to SAP to make it operational.
Perform entire initial SAP training and testing w.r.t to SAP Blue Prints for its
final implementation.
Making the mapping and links among all the above software.
Assists the Financial Controller in the Pre-Opening Budget.
Holding daily morning briefing to follow-up the day to day tasks and comparing the
current status with Critical Path plan.
Trains the Accounting Staff for the company policies and procedures.
Creates the local policy and procedures in line with UAE law.
Perform intercompany reconciliation.
Finance
Assist Financial Controller in overseeing functions of financial control &
accounting, treasury, inventory management, procurement and auditing financial
accounts.
Assist in implementation of Wadi Adventures Financial manuals / SOPs for
facilitation directed by the park Financial Controller.
Ensure monthly/ quarterly/annual closing procedures adhere and reported
accordingly to Head Office.
Ensure monthly P&L review with department heads and discuss areas of deviances.
Working closely with Head of departments for monthly to 12 months Budget.
Working closely with Head of departments for monthly to 12 months rolling Cost
Forecasting.
Maintaining accurate and timely financial and operating information and provides
analyzes, interpretations and projections to management as required.
Implements and maintains acceptable accounting practices and procedures as
required by corporate policies and procedures, generally accepted accounting
practices, and those affected by local conditions
Maximizes cash flow performance of the Park through controls on inventory, credit
and collection, disbursements, deposits and remittances.
Assisting the Financial controller in providing financial guidance in the
formulation and implementation of the business plan, hotel and departmental
budgets, and objectives programmed.
Maintain the Petty cash.
Review prices and recommends changes to the Financial Controller.
Enforces documents and establishes adequate controls for all revenues and expenses
and protection of assets, and ensures controls will satisfy or improve the level
of guest service.
Maintain close liaison with the company`s external and internal auditors and
ensure effective action as necessary on all their agreed upon recommendations.
Prepare periodic MIS reports for higher management.
Provide proactive administrative support to the park management team with
reference to policy enforcement, business advice and operational assistance.
