Present

P.D.C. Houston, TX

- Project Manager / Project engineer

. Accomplishments include managing a select group of project work scopes

involving software and mechanical installations aboard offshore

drilling vessels to bring Dual Gradient Drilling technology to

functional readiness. My key management areas are mechanical and

piping system installation projects, including engineering evaluation

of related drawings, review and selection of resources, cost control,

scheduling and motivating project teams to successfully meet

milestones. This is done while liaising between PDC, Chevron, the rig,

and suppliers, effectively communicating with all parties to create a

detailed plan to support a safe and timely project implementation and

commissioning.

. Prior undertakings include managing fleet wide process improvement

initiatives including seawater pump filtration failure analysis and

modifications, waste water gravity filtration system feasibility study

and creation of installation plans to increase operational efficiency,

as well as managing various hull and cabin storage and safety

improvement projects.

. Managing the sourcing of project specific materials and resources as

well as supplier performance tracking. Creating and updating project

and procurement databases to increase effectiveness.

. Conducting failure analysis studies in the field and compiling test

results in a manner useful for training material for preventive

actions on other vessels and presentation to upper management.

. Creating process standards for engineering change operations and

technical documentation.

Vallourec & Mannesmann 11/10- 10/12

VAM Drilling USA, Houston, TX

. Managing capital expenditure (CAPEX) project teams budgeted from $65-

600K at all stages including initial specification writing, vender

technical meetings and quote negotiation.

. Leading continuous improvement project teams reducing non-value added

time, implementing new manufacturing equipment, and testing and

qualifying new drill pipe manufacturing processes.

. Conducting testing and qualification of pre-commissioned equipment at

suppliers to assure compliance with acceptance criteria, and

international best practice sharing with sister companies.

. Writing technical specifications including CAD designs for facility

modifications, material-handling systems, and new manufacturing

equipment / process changes to increase production efficiency.

. Implemented O.E.E. in manufacturing work cells focused on tracking and

improving quality, availability, performance, and trained 38 operators

to track and report the O.E.E. data. This tool helped close a

communication gap between the shop floor and upper management.

application of Lean Six Sigma Manufacturing techniques such as

reducing non-value added time, 5S, Error-proofing, and standard

operations saving more than $1.5M.

. Created and presented new product (NPD) commercialization plans

covering cost, lead-time, field test results, potential field markets,

and manufacturing feasibility.

. Final drawing and design review for manufacturing feasibility of new

products and altered existing designs, including Schlumberger's first

round of GD&T tolerance drawings.

. Manage a CAD designer and two assembly / testing technicians producing

$14M/yr in revenue while closely supporting the supply chain team.

machining center to meet in house productivity and ergonomic needs.

. Led the inspection of turbine hot side components and created repair

plans consisting of work instructions for TIG welding, brazing, heat

treatment, and thermal coating procedures.

. Trained and mentored 9 interns a year in inspection procedures and

lean manufacturing techniques.

G.E AIRCRAFT SYSTEMS / LOCKHEED MARTIN, Middle River, MD
