Mar 2014 – Business Operations Director of the Health Promotion Unit in the Office of Public

present Health. Worked with programmatic staff to operationalize grant deliverables through facilitation of

CDC grants. Managed Health Promotion Budget; drafted contracts, routed, and edited

contracts; monitored contracts for payments and performance, coordinated all aspects of

human resources, including Planning and Evaluation sessions, new employee on boarding,

July 2013 Accepted a permanent position with the Louisiana Medical Assistance Program (Medicaid)

Feb 2014 in the Program Support and Waiver Unit. Oversaw two multi million dollar rebalancing

programs. Worked with officials from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services

and coordinated across agencies at DHH. Oversaw all administrative, non programmatic

aspects including Operational Protocol; annual budget; quarterly reporting of services; and

other administrative aspects.

Oct. 2012 Detailed to Undersecretary developing and implementing public private partnerships for

Jan. 2014 LSU safety net hospitals. Coordinating with nine hospitals across the state on utilization,

supplemental Medicaid payments, and other financial and legal aspects. Worked with

DHH staff; partner hospital executives; outside counsel; LSUHSC administrative staff; and

others to execute all aspects of the CEAs.

Feb. 2013 In charge of Program Integrity Compliance Unit, which oversees investigations and

June 2013 implements sanctions pursuant to LAC Title 50, Chapter 41 Surveillance Utilization

Review Systems (SURS) Rule. Process Mandatory and Permissive Exclusions. Make

recommendations on disclosure of ownership for Provider Enrollment.

May 2012 In six months closed over 20 files resulting in over $1 million dollar return to the LA

Feb. 2013 Medicaid Program. Responsible for a bustling docket of administrative adjudications

regarding the Surveillance Utilization and Review Systems portion of the Louisiana

Administrative Code. Investigated underlying basis of adjudication and compared it with

applicable law, rule, regulation, and/or policy for legal sufficiency; prepared motions,

pleadings, and other documents for filing with the Division of Administrative Law; crafted

discovery; presented cases before the Administrative Law Judge. Represented the

department at the 19th Judicial District Court in Baton Rouge on concursus, injunction,

temporary restraining order, and other matters. Admitted to the Middle, Eastern, and

Western Federal Districts to represent the department in federal proceedings.

May 2010 municipal government financing, public asset management, and other topics affecting the

City of New Orleans. Worked at all levels of government to influence policy and legislation

Washington, D.C. with Mayor and Council to lobby State’s Congressional delegation, and
