mission of Synergie. As part of the team of 10 DBAs on site, I was involved in creating multiple databases,

managing storage structures and objects, database backups and recovery, monitoring and security

enforcement, optimizing database performance to customers. Upgrading and configuring the Oracle

environment.

Responsibilities:

Provided 24 X 7 Production database operation support and monitoring. Worked closely with the

Application team.

Monitored Database availability and performance.

Setup RMAN Repository, performed physical backup using RMAN. Also designed Backup and

recovery strategies. FRA and Flashback Technology were implemented.

Performed Logical backups using full export and DATAPUMP utility.

Evaluated new RDBMS features and enhancements in Oracle 11g like Data recovery advisor,

tablespace encryption, invisible indexes, flashback transaction, case sensitive password,

transportable tablespace, eternal tables and partitioning for possible integration into infrastructure

and applications.

Tuned the database using SQL query optimization, Autotrace, Vmstat, Explain Plan, AWR, ASH,

ADDM and SQL Tuning Advisor to gathering statistics.

Performed Physical and Logical Design of the database which includes Database creation, tables

spaces creation, table and index partitioning and also mapping of different objects with disks

Provided root cause analysis to identify database issues such as contention and abnormal application
