Mask Prep IC Layout

IC Mask Data preparation for photo masks construction.

Chip Integration, Inspect and process incoming gds

layout data and review fracture data. Assemble reticle

floor planning for test and production test chips.

Design, Floor plan, and place the Mask Shop order, for

Photo-mask reticles from I.C. Design Databases

according to specific wafer fab specifications. This

includes, drawing the reticle frame based on wafer fab

alignment key data, scribe grid process control data,

and design rule placement specifications. Interface,

and communicate with Circuit, Product, Device, Process

Engineers, Layout Designers, and Mask shops to ensure

all mask prep requirements for each mask layer is

correct. Perform the fracture for each circuit layer,

and verify each layer has the following done correctly;

the Booleans, sizing values, shrink factor, scaling,

beam size, grid spacing. Experience in the design of

Wire Bond Out, C4 Bump, Wafer Level Burn-in, Copper

Metal Technology using OPC, and Tiling mask procedures

and techniques

Experience with Cadence, K2, Mentor Graphics Calibre

and Cats, CAD Layout, Unix, Cats, Perl, program

automation, web design.

Mask Technologies design for hip7, Power PC, 0.13m,

0.18m,0.25m, MRAM, Luxtera to Freescale factories or

foundries

1993- 1995 Motorola

(8" Fab) Process Engineer Technician (MOS11 Reticle

Management)

Interfacing with the following groups: Design Layout,

Device Engineering, Manufacturing, Photo mask shops,

and Photo Mask equipment vendors.

Responsibilities include: Verification of reticle

scribe layout of new Device parts introduce into

MOS-11, to Interface with Mask vendors and assure photo

masks get deliver to on time, to support and maintain

all Reticle Incoming quals issues with Manufacturing,

To Create and maintain all Canon stepper jobs.

Equipment related includes the following: KLA 279, KLA

2130, HORIBA PD 3000, Leica CD scope, bright lights,

and PRI reticle storage stockers.

Training engineering and manufacturing on the above

equipment.

1989-1993 Motorola

(8" Fab) Fab start up/Process Engineer Technician

(MOS11)

Responsibilities include Stepper/Track matching and

acceptance, Creating and managing all Canon stepper

jobs, 2nd shift Process Engineering sustainer.

Sustainer responsibilities include Supporting and all

photo process equipment and manufacturing issues.

Equipment related includes the following: Canon i1/i3

steppers, SVG 90 tracks, Metrology support equipment

(Prometrix, IVS 8000, Tencor, Semitools, Zeiss

Microscopes) and Reticle support equipment (KLA 279,

KLA 2130, HORIBA PD 3000, Leica CD scope, bright

lights, reticle storage stockers).

Responsibilities include Conversion of old to new photo

equipment and Photo Process Characterization. 3rd shift

Process Engineering sustainer.

Sustainer responsibilities include Supporting and all

photo process equipment and manufacturing issues

Training engineering and manufacturing on the new

equipment.
