Greg Hindmon
********@*******.***
To whom it may concern,
My name is Greg Hindmon. I am a former software/firmware engineer with more than 20 years
experience in the industry. I was a 50/50 partner in a two different start-up companies that designed
and manufactured our own electronic controllers for the HVAC/Refrigeration industry. I managed a
team of 8 engineers and also served as our research and development engineer.
I am a dependable, honest, and outgoing person with great work ethic. I have good technical writing
skills as well as good communications and people skills. I am a good leader and motivator of people
because I believe in leading by example. I like to surround myself with good people with similar values
and dedication to seeing a project through to the end.
I left the industry some years ago to pursue other business opportunities. After starting and succeeding
in those business ventures, I am ready to get back to what I love; engineering! I am a self-taught
engineer and I have always had to learn new programming languages and new technologies on my own.
I am a problem solver by nature and and I love new challenges.
As a small business owner, I have always had to "wear many hats" and take on many roles from being
the HR manager to IT support to Parts Buyer to Production manager! I believe in doing whatever is
necessary to get the job done!
While not necessarily applicable to this position, I know how to use many different tools for diagnosing,
troubleshooting, and repairing both hardware and software; Emulators, simulators, oscilloscopes, logic
analyzers, soldering/de-soldering equipment, device programmers, etc.
I am very proficient in using the entire MS Office suite of tools…Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and
Outlook. I have used AutoCAD and Visio to design various enclosures, electrical panels, user interface
keyboard/displays, etc.
I have a lot of knowledge and real-world experience to offer and I look forward to being a part of, or
leading, a team of enthusiastic and creative engineers!
Thank you for your time and consideration,
Greg Hindmon
