ENGINEERING EXPERIENCE:
Ithaca, NY; Honduras
AguaClara LLC
September 2014 – May 2015
Project Designer
Performed as a team leader of Pump Design Team, and deliberated types of pumps and pressure requirements for
equal distribution.
Balanced cost and efficiency of pumps, and evaluated the different options for the design of the photovoltaic and
pump system in villages in India.
Studied aboard in Honduras to coordinate communications with local operators.
Shenyang, China
Engineering Intern
June 2012 – July 2012
Urban Planning Design and Research Institute
Helped design underground water system using AutoCAD to be developed for use in the 12th National Games of
People’s Republic of China with experienced Environmental Engineers.
Assisted project chief designer implementing new operations at wastewater treatment plants.
Fort Collins, CO
WEFTEC Student Design Competition
Contestant (placed 3rd in Rocky Mountain area) August 2013 - December 2013
Designed robust and effective tertiary treatment optimization to lower phosphorous concentration using Biowin.
Performed as a quantitative analyst in responsible of cost analysis, and a multi-criterion decision analysis
(MCDA) to select the best tertiary treatment suitable for the plant with less footprint and cost.
Selected Engineering Projects
Analyzed earthquake database for Japan from NGDC using Arc GIS, while Building fitted statistical models of
the earthquake magnitude data by using Matlab.
Sustainable Municipal Water Treatment Design: Proposed a water recycling system to take effluent water of
pilot plants and restore alkalinity and increase turbidity for re -treatment. Sized collection tanks for backwashing,
pipes and pumps using Mathcad.
Designed a river reach with hydraulic jumps, vertical steps, and horizontal contractions u sing HEC-RAS.
Organized scope of work and calculated compressive thrust in current culvert s to select insufficient culverts and
proper culvert materials. Created several alternative designs to replace insufficient culverts, and conducted a
multi-criterion decision analysis (MCDA) to promote most desirable designs.
OTHER WORK EXPERIENCE:
August 2012-August 2012
International Orientation Leader, CSU
Communicated with freshman, introduced main campus, and explained the campus regulations.
Led group study with freshman to review the knowledge they learned in the introduction class.
Spring 2012-Fall 2014
Academic Tutor, CSU
Tutored statics, dynamics, thermo-dynamics, and mechanics of solids for about 5 hours every week.
