. As Visiting Engineer to CableLabs, developed automated tests for OSSI and
Mac Layer testing for use at CableLabs and the general DOCSIS vendor
community in a controlled Windows based development environment.
Responsible for development of TCL library routines to be used in all
CableLabs automated testing. Also, contributed to the DOCSIS 2.0
specification and development of DOCSIS 2.0 Test Plans as part of the
Juniper Contributing Engineer team.
. As Senior Test Engineering Lead, R&D Group, responsible for development
of automated HFC testing platforms and procedures for Phy, Mac/Phy, and
Mac layers as well as BPI/BPI+ for performance verification of DOCSIS CMs
and CMTSs. This entailed designing and utilizing custom hardware
platforms, Test Plans, HFC networks and associated software and
familiarity with different types of RF bursts and modulation types (TDMA,
CDMA, SCDMA, etc.).
. Tested Voice Over IP (VoIP) capabilities of the CMTS utilizing the SIP
protocol.
. Developed a full suite of TCL based test scripts using an Expect wrapper
in a Linux environment for automated control of test equipment (VSA,
Spectrum Analyzer, etc.) and performance of both custom and CableLabs ATP
tests using GBIP, RS232 and Ethernet interfaces.
