GBS (Global Banking System) application runs on the IBM Mainframe z/OS platform catering to Bank of
America’s International Wholesale banking business offering services in the areas of Capital Markets, Accounting,
Payments, and Credit products
Responsibilities:
• Managing a team of 20 resources across 5 locations – India (Hyderabad, Chennai, Gurgaon), UK
(Bromley) and Singapore.
• Accountable for end to end project management including Managing escalations, planning Support
deliverables, Risk, Compliance and Audit requirements,
• Liaising with stakeholders, viz. business partners, operations teams and other support groups
• Troubleshooting post implementation issues

GBS MIS is the International Data Store containing data from GBS (Global Banking System) as well as other
systems of record (SOR) covering all the major business applications used by the International units of Bank of
America. Management Information reporting predominantly occurs on the London VM/Nomad platform, a number
of static data maintenance functions are also present in the IMS z/OS platform. In general, the London
VM/Nomad platform acts as a data warehouse for GBS to which static and transaction data is downloaded daily
from the mainframe IMS z/OS platform domains (Capital Markets, Accounting, Payments, and Credit). GBS MIS
is used to produce regular and ad hoc reports for control, management, finance and regulatory purposes.
Responsibilities:
• Answered business queries and generated ad hoc business reports from NOMAD production database,
Test regions (NOMAD environment) build and maintenance; Production batch support (Level 2) on MVS
and VM platforms
• Participated in client interactions for business rules on data consolidation and migration
• Analyzed design and coding of legacy program interface in MVS and VM platforms
• Attended 5 weeks of Knowledge Transfer at Croydon, UK from the application SMEs

The Originations database is a complete system in itself designed to enable a business-facing decision-making
layer that will allow marketing analysts to employ wider array of tools, including Cognos ReportNet Framework, for
menu-driven query and adhoc. This data mart has been developed by HSBC to support all aspects of
comprehensive MIS analysis and other analysis needs of Marketing, Risk, and Finance. The mart has been
enhanced for addition of new fields and business requirements.
Responsibilities:
• Business requirements analysis, Query resolution and coordination with Client, Technical Specifications
preparation, Review of test cases & scripts, Review of Mainframe & Datastage components, Creation of
Implementation Plans. Have coordinated and implemented the project from Onsite (Salinas, CA, US).
