PeopleSoft 9.0 to 9.2 Upgrade & Maintenance

The information systems division of Microland, one of the largest IT

infrastructure management company in India has upgraded its human resource

and finance system to PeopleSoft Global Enterprise Application.

As a Senior Manager, Information Systems:

Working with key stakeholders to prioritize HR and Finance projects and

reporting on project status, scope changes, project overview, resource

allocation and availability.

Designed and implemented a backup and disaster recovery (BDR) system using

a virtualized server image that acted as failover production server.

Designed and integrated a third party app with PeopleSoft to get new hires'

data via a secured Internet protocol. A new employee/job record is created

instantly when a hiring process is completed in Hire Right, a third party

application.

Assist functional users/SMSs with upgrade/integration testing with test

cases, test scripts and test scenarios.

Implemented employee appraisal system that triggers mails & reminders at

various steps to insure 100% completion across the company on-time.

Developed a security matrix for performance metrics.

PeopleSoft 8.3 to 9.1 Upgrade

Description: State of Texas is upgrading its PeopleSoft HCM application

from 8.3 to 9.1. As a HCM Tech Lead:

Involved in Fit-Gap analysis for HCM modules such as HR, Benefits, Payroll,

TAM, ELM, Security and E-Apps.

Lead the upgrade/implementation of new supplementary systems such as

Employee Self-Service, E-Profile, E-Performance and Manager Self-Service.

Translate business requirement/business processes related to the

implementation teams.

Tracking the progress of team on a weekly basis.

Handled the integration process for Taleo to PeopleSoft TAM i.e. recruit

and hire process which included functionalities like automatically pre-

screen, score and rank all candidates, find right candidates from the

internet including networking sites, track and manage every job opening

from one dashboard.

Assisted the functional team and coordinated efforts for specific project

functionality (e.g., Self-Service, Manager Self-Service, Learning

Management System, Performance Management Process, and Talent Review &

Succession Planning).

Worked with key IT and OPS stakeholders to prioritize work and drive

milestones, reporting on project status, scope changes, project overview,

Description: San Diego County has upgraded its PeopleSoft HCM application

from 8.8 to 9.0. As a HR Techno/Functional team lead, my role includes:

1. Reporting to the executive Project Manager, I was responsible for

supporting overall project delivery and establish core program

process. Working with sub-project managers to identify revenue

opportunities and scope & cost reduction.

2. Directing the creation and managing the acceptance process and sign-

off for the functional and paper deliverables. Completed Fit/GAP

analysis, resource planning for development, testing, documentation

and training.

3. Working with sub-project managers to ensure an understanding of the

contractual obligations required for the functional deliverable review

and sign-off.

4. Introduced best practices used in the industry for gathering

new/process change requirements, approvals, development and

implementation.

5. Assisting the users, project manager and System Administrators with HR

Bundles and Tax Updates including year-end process. Remediated 120

public queries from 8.8 to 9.0.

PeopleSoft 8.3 to 8.9 Upgrade

Description: On Assignment, Inc implemented PeopleSoft HCM 8.9 along with

PeopleSoft Financials 9.0. As a HR Techno/Functional lead:

1. Upgrade, Operation and maintenance of the PeopleSoft 8.9 HRMS

application, which is currently in production

2. Prepared a Fit-Gap document and presented alternative recommendations

to functional and PeopleSoft-savvy user communities. Designed required

developments according to GAP analysis and retrofitting custom &

customized online and batch objects

3. Designing and setting up new Time & Labor TRC (Time Reporting Code)

Program and mapping of TRC to Earning Codes. Also, designed T&L custom

batch creation process as per client's business need

4. Converted existing PeopleSoft 8.3 Front Office Pay/Bill Rues into

PeopleSoft 8.9 HCM (Payroll and Time & Labor) & Finance. Customized

Vendor Set Controls to differentiate Vendors in Finance System

5. Created and migrated/merged Integration Broker for transferring new

users, new assignment, new contract and new project data from RMax

(Recruit Max) into PeopleSoft HR via multiple Application Messages

6. Review, validate and edit client requirements artifacts based on

domain knowledge/expertise and provided support in preparing critical

User Acceptance scenarios and managing UAT activity

7. Prepared Test Plans, Test Scripts and User Acceptance Test templates
