SCP GLOBAL TECHNOLOGIES/AKRION
Boise, ID 83647
July 1992 to March 2009
This company made Wet Processing Benches used in Clean Rooms to treat
silicon wafers. Layers of metal and gas films were applied to turn the
wafers into semiconductor chips. The benches consisted of a series of
tanks that contained highly purified, temperature-controlled chemical baths
that the product was immersed in during the customer's cleaning process.
Due to the hazards of the chemicals, the equipment contained on board:
. A multi-axis robotic system to move product through the chemical
baths.
. A hot IPA vapor dryer to dry the wafers.
. Air handling systems to remove vapors.
. Fire detection/suppression systems.
. Electromechanical safety interlocks and optical "people sensors".
Manufacturing Test Engineering,
2000 to 2009.
. Designed and built manual/semi-automated test adaptors for testing
various subassemblies prior to installation into the next higher-level
assembly.
. Wrote and tested software for semi-automated test adaptors and
equipment.

troubleshooting
and retrofit tasks.
Testline Tech/Coordinator,
