Work Experience
National Account Manager for all of Canada
BDA Inc. Bensussan Deutsch Associates, Inc.
-
Kingsville, ON
September 2013 to August 2014
Responsibilities
On a day to day basis, I gathered and managed a large clientele to supply merchandise for all Ford, Catapillar, Kenworth and
Peterbilt dealerships in Canada. (Over 600 dealerships in total.) Along with cold calling, I spent most of my time visiting clients and
selling different products to them based on their wants and needs. This often ended in an “up sell” of items which I would
recommend. I worked closely with different vendors throughout the U.S and Canada to negotiate pricing and product for my
respective clients.
Along with travelling throughout Canada once per month to visit my clients face to face, I also attended many trade shows and
networking events where I was able to promote myself and gain more business.
Accomplishments
During my career with BDA, I helped the company grow within Canada, by achieving higher sales than ever before allowing for a
50% growth from the previous year bringing in over 3 million dollars in sales. Due to my dedication and drive to succeed, I also
received $1000 bonuses each quarter for achieving above and beyond my monthly and annual sales budgets.
After attending BDA’s annual sales meeting, I was proud to see that I was listed 3rd from the top in overall sales in the company,
beating out over 100 sales associates.
In terms of developing the Canadian side for BDA, I also compiled a much needed preferred vendor list of Canadian vendors,
allowing for the process of ordering merchandise run much smoother and less expensive for the client, in turn opening up room for
more products to be purchased.
I have received many accolades both verbal and written from many clients due to my reliable and likable character.
Senior National Account Manager
Blackburn Radio Inc.
-
Kingsville, ON
September 2008 to August 2014
Responsibilities
On a day to day basis, my duties were to gather and maintain a large clientele throughout Windsor Essex, and South Western
Ontario by selling air time and web advertisements for clients who want to promote their business. This included cold calling and
managing current clients by creating effective marketing campaigns to fit the clients’ expectations to allow growth in their business,
often resulting in the renewal of annual contracts. Many clients would put on different events based on the marketing campaign I
develop. I would attend these on my spare time in order to show dedication and support.
Accomplishments
After 6 months of working with Blackburn radio, I was promoted to account manager after working alongside the community
relations department selling PSA’s (public service announcements).9 months later, due to my strong sales and leadership skills, I
won Top Sales Person of the year and was promoted to Senior National Sales Manager where in addition to a much larger territory,
I took on an abundance of managerial duties including sales training and hiring. Also, I was the only one chosen on our sales to
team to join the web committee. There, we introduced and developed websites for three separate radio stations.
During my final year with Blackburn radio, I transferred to the Leamington Branch location, where I was placed in a territory that had
a proven track record of low sales. In that short time, I was able to more than triple sales, bringing it from approximately $20,000 to
$68,000 annually.
