Duties and Responsibilities

1. All jobs were carried out with safety precaution according to company's manuals where care is taken to self & co-worker by using all personal protective equipment like safety helmets, shoes, goggles, protective welding screens, leather hand sleeves, apron, leather gloves, leg guards to prevent from burns & injuries, and exercised caution on handling welding apparatus like welding machines, welding torch, welding guns, wire driving units, gas cylinders etc.

1. I performed hard facing in different materials

1. I performed MIG welding with CO2 as shielding gas.

1. I have welding experience in storage tank construction, sphere, floating roof tanks, cryogenic double wall tanks, heavy wall pipe line with 100%radiography. I have experience in marine welding with STFA, like ship repairing, barge construction & repairing, construction of oil berth and sea wall. I have welding experience in piling construction with STFA in sea piling and land piling.

1. I had done gas cutting with the help of Oxy Acetylene & Oxy – LPG gas cutting torches.

1. I had done material cutting and gouging with the help of arc air gouge.

1. I performed cutting with different kinds of automatic gas cutting machines like straight cutter, shearing machine, pug cutter

1. I performed different joints with four layer welding. 1st layer root, 2nd layer hot pass, 3rd layer filling and 4th layer final or capping.

1. Prior to operation I used to check the machine whether any abnormal sound persists or not, checked the gas connections and its pressure, current adjustments, cable connections etc. and also used to check the quality of the instruments as per the classifications.

1. I had used a wide range of tools and equipment’s related to my profession such as hammers, spanners, files, taps, die, hacksaw, chisel, screw driver, pliers, clamps, drill machines both electric and pneumatic as power tools measuring tape, steel rule, wire gauge, Vernier caliper as measuring tools.

1. I was always ready to do overtime without time limit and no objection to do the job at any time and at anywhere.

1. I commenced employment as a welder from 1992 and till continuing

1. I performed all jobs with safety precautions according to the manual of the companies. Care was taken to self & co-worker by using safety helmet, safety shoes, goggles, protective welding screen points, leather gloves, leg guards to prevent from burns and injuries.

1. I carried caution on handling welding apparatus like welding gases, welding torch, welding guns & power sources.

1. I used different types of hand tools like hammer, spanner, file, tap, die, hacksaw, chisel, screwdriver, plier, wise grip, socket spanner etc & power tools like grinder, pneumatic grinder, drill, hand drill, buffer etc.

1. Before starting the job I always checked the condition of the machines, tools and surroundings.

1. I performed cutting the material by oxy acetylene torch and gouging also

1. I had done welding of different positions like flat (F/P) vertical (V/P) horizontal (H/P) overhead (OH/P) and inclined by different conventional system like SMAW, MIG, and resistance welding.

1. At frequent intervals I check the welding by visual and NDT tests to check the quality of welding.

1. I had got training on safety and firefighting.

1. At each and every pre-determined intervals I had given proper care and maintenance to the machines.
