To Whom It May Concern,
My name is Corey Sanders and I am interested in the employment opportunity. On December 13, 2007 I
graduated with an Associate of Arts from Northeast Mississippi Community College where I also was a full scholarship
athlete on the Football Team. While there, I served as a team captain in 2006 and 2007, Following after, I achieved the
2006 NEMCC Dean’s List Honor as well as the 2005 and 2006 Who’s Who Among College and University Students
Award. Following after achieving my Associate Degree, I continued my football career by accepting a Division 1
Football Scholarship at Mississippi Valley State University. However, an abrupt decision, consequently, led me to
attend Mississippi State University and serve as a member of the Bulldogs Football Team. Though, I did not continue
my athletic career with the Mississippi State Bulldogs, I, instead, chose to be a Bulldog at McPherson College. In the
course of many obstacles, unwavering dedication and work ethic, in 2010, I was a part of the McPherson College
KCAC Championship Team the first in the college’s history.
An unforgettable victory led to an even more exciting journey ahead. With only six credit hours left before
graduation, I was contacted and offered an opportunity to play Professional Arena Football. While I decided to accept, I
never lost sight or the desire to complete my education. Furthermore, my enthusiasm to follow through has been
consistent, and because of that I will achieve my Bachelor of Science in Physical Education with a concentration in
Health on May 31, 2014.
During my last year of my professional football career, I was called into ministry on March 3, 2013. I left
everything behind and chose to do what God called me to do. This life changing moment led me back to Mississippi,
where I sought guidance from St. Matthews M.B Church in Starkville, MS. On April 21, 2013 I received my Ministry
License and on July 21, 2013, I was ordained. I then served as a Youth Pastor for a year.
Currently I have received a higher calling from God to start my own ministry. I’m eager and looking forward
to pursue my purpose in the world, specifically being not only a leader in ministry but, also a leader in the workforce.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
Best Regards,
Corey L. Sanders
