England and worked up to the level of Senior Registrar in various University hospitals in England and
Europe.
Worked under Prof. Paul McMaster, Prof. Alfred Cuschiery, Prof. Mc Latchie, Prof.
JohnBuckels, and Prof. Mohamed Rela.
After receiving Advanced Training in Gastro Intestinal Surgery, Endoscopic Surgery and
Laparascopic surgery joined Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham, UK., in the Liver Transplant and
HPB unit and worked as Senior Registrar from 1995 – 1997. Received extensive hands on training in
complex Hepato Biliary, Pancreatic Surgery and Liver Transplantation.
Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham, UK is a leading International Center for Liver
Transplant and Complex Liver and Pancreatic Surgery. It is one of the high volume Centers in
England.

Teaching Experience
Apart from being a Consultant in GI and HPB Surgery since last Thirteen years from 1998
until now I have been a Senior lecturer in V.M.K.V Medical College (Deemed University) and
Hospital Salem India teaching undergraduate & P.G students and Nursing staff.
V.M.K.V Medical College has got 500 Bedded Tertiary Referral hospital attached to it.
Teaching MBBS Students includes - taking lessions in outpatient clinics, Bed side clinics,
Ward Rounds, Afternoon lectures, CME Programmes, Audit meetings, Journal club meetings etc.
While in England (from 1993 – 1998) I was teaching Birmingham University Medical
students and organized University examinations.
As part of my academic activities, I was the organizing secretary of four Major National
Conferences in Gastro Enterology at Salem city (Gastro Con 2000, Gastro Con 2002, Gastro Con
2003 and Gastro Con 2008)
