This project involved developing a new line for white boards. The project includes creating a

MAP Project

This project required custom rail design for Modified Atmosphere packaging. The rail replaces

Worked on the development of a new miter saw for its European execution.

The project involved the introduction of locking mechanism as a safety norm for European

compliance. Development of placement of light and laser on the product.

for dissipation of heat.

Responsibilities:

Presented 4 design concepts for the locking mechanism.

Developed the prototype of locking mechanism based on one of the concepts.

Synopsis:

THINK

Rapid prototyping of the components. Development of plastic molded components.

This project involves the mechanical design of the Control system for Think cars.

The project includes the design of junction box, with sealing as a major challenge.

Successfully designed a junction box (casting) with seals, connector plate, connectors and

covers. Acquired CE compliance for the unit.

CATERPILLAR

1) This project involved the mechanical design of the Control system for Gear shifter.

Worked in association with Electrical department for the latest shift by wire technology for

automobiles.

2) Development of concept for the control of Wheel loader, reducing the cost to three times of

the existing cost, using a single pcb, hall sensing.

Responsibilities:

Worked in association with the design department as a main member responsible for

modeling of the casting for TH!NK.

Development of concept model for caterpillar.

Project Title: Design and development of MG 5050 Gear Box for Twin Disc.

Location: USA

Duration : 7 months

Synopsis:

This project involves the modeling of the complex castings (front and rear housing) of the

transmission unit. The casting material being changed from cast iron to Aluminum for weight

reduction, simultaneously the profile of the casting is changed to increase the sump capacity.

Design and development of brackets to mount the heat exchanger. Modeling of the manual

valve to control the hydraulic flow to the primary and secondary shaft for engagement of the

clutch.

Responsibilities:

Worked in association with the design department for modeling of the casting and the final

assembly

Drafting of the complex casting components.

Project Title: Design and development of Bus Interior for ADL

Duration: 6 months

Synopsis:

This project includes the seating arrangement, hand poles arrangement. Design of side frames,

front and rear frames. Understood the clients ERP system for BOM generation.

Development of welding fixture for return transom. This project involves complete design from

concept to realization of the fixture. This fixture uses basic 3 2 1 principle of location for locating

the component.

Synopsis:

Development of Software for customization of crane design. Numerical values to be given as

input which will generate 3 D Models & 2 D Drawings

Responsibilities:

Worked as a technical co coordinator for the project. Modeled the default assembly with

all the configurations using design tables & equations. Modeling done using top down

approach controlled by two skeleton sketches. Guided the programmers to bind the User

Interface with the solid works model.

Project Title: K.D.Massive Round Table

Synopsis:

Reverse Engineering i.e. development of 3 D model using an existing product. The project

involved physical measurement of existing table & recreation of the model in CAD.

taken physically & the modeling & drafting of these products were completely successfully

Project Title: Design of Caser Head

Location: India

Synopsis:

Development of head for caser machine. Caser is a machine used for picking the bottles

from conveyors & places these bottles into the cases or cartons. Project involved designing of

caser head for beer bottles & placing these bottles into cartoons.

Responsibilities:

Independently developed the head to suit the existing machines. The company had

existing design for soft drink bottles but a new head was developed for Beverages & the head

was successfully manufactured in the company.

Project Title: Design of Case over Packer (COP)

Location: India

Synopsis:

Development of Semi automatic machine for packaging of bottles into the cartons. The

concept lies in placing carton on the bottles, instead of picking the bottles.

Responsibilities:

Independently developed the concept of lane divider for dividing the bottles conveyed in

single lane to multiple lane using back to back cylinders.

The machine deals with pneumatic cylinders & its synchronization for the operation of the

machine.

Project Title: Design of filing valve for Baby Jar

Synopsis:

Development of filing valve for 20 liters & 25 liters of Kinley baby jars. This project

involves automated filling valve design for metering water in to the jars.

Independently designed & developed the valve for Kinley jars for recirculation type filing

machines.
