CATERPILLAR
1) This project involved the mechanical design of the Control system for Gear shifter.
Worked in association with Electrical department for the latest shift by wire technology for

2) Development of concept for the control of Wheel loader, reducing the cost to three times of
the existing cost, using a single pcb, hall sensing.

Project Title: Design and development of MG 5050 Gear Box for Twin Disc.

Synopsis:
This project involves the modeling of the complex castings (front and rear housing) of the
transmission unit. The casting material being changed from cast iron to Aluminum for weight
reduction, simultaneously the profile of the casting is changed to increase the sump capacity.
Design and development of brackets to mount the heat exchanger. Modeling of the manual
valve to control the hydraulic flow to the primary and secondary shaft for engagement of the
clutch.

Development of Software for customization of crane design. Numerical values to be given as

approach controlled by two skeleton sketches. Guided the programmers to bind the User

Development of head for caser machine. Caser is a machine used for picking the bottles
from conveyors & places these bottles into the cases or cartons. Project involved designing of
caser head for beer bottles & placing these bottles into cartoons.

Independently developed the head to suit the existing machines. The company had
existing design for soft drink bottles but a new head was developed for Beverages & the head
was successfully manufactured in the company.

Project Title: Design of Case over Packer (COP)

Synopsis:
Development of Semi automatic machine for packaging of bottles into the cartons. The
concept lies in placing carton on the bottles, instead of picking the bottles.
Responsibilities:
Independently developed the concept of lane divider for dividing the bottles conveyed in
single lane to multiple lane using back to back cylinders.
The machine deals with pneumatic cylinders & its synchronization for the operation of the
machine.

Development of filing valve for 20 liters & 25 liters of Kinley baby jars. This project
involves automated filling valve design for metering water in to the jars.
