Value Stream Manager (2013-Present)
Manage technical, logistical, and production staff in a medical device manufacturing facility to ensure
compliance to FDA regulation and drive continuous improvement. Drives excellence in KPI attainment
to ensure budgetary targets are achieved while maintaining a balance of Quality, Cost, and Delivery
(QCD).
Grew and developed the technical support staff from one to four Manufacturing Engineers. Also identified
and hired a production supervisor to ensure proper production support and accountability through
reorganization of the production personnel. Worked with each to develop within the organization ensuring
proper support for sustaining products and insourcing new business.
Within the first eighteen months productivity improvements over the previous eighteen months increased
from an average of 89.86% to 98.46%. This achievement was against a budgeted goal of 92% and a stretch
target of 95%.
Within the same time period average departmental scrap was reduced by 33% from $2.55/hr to $1.71/hr. This
achievement was against a budgeted goal of $2.50/hr and a stretch target of $2.31/hr.

Manufacturing Engineer (2012-2013)
Planned, developed, evaluated, and improved manufacturing processes for existing product in an
industrial environment. Utilized Six Sigma, DOE concepts, and lean manufacturing to analyze and
develop production lines. Conferred with vendors, estimated production times and staffing
requirements, and effectively communicated with all levels of the organization.
Led documentation compliance initiative to audit and improve all manufacturing documentation within the
department to ensure compliance with the regulatory governing body and company quality systems.
Led initiative by which efficiency and productivity could be collected, analyzed, and trended through the
utilization of Microsoft Excel & Access.
Completed two CAPA investigations through implementation of root cause corrective action. Through root
cause analysis and efficient utilization of resources, the fundamental systemic errors were identified,
corrected, and the corrective active implemented.
Atricure Inc., West Chester, OH 2007-2012
Manufacturing Engineering Technician (2007-2012)
Position was responsible for training and maintaining documentation for production personnel in specific
areas of manufacturing. Developed, qualified, and validated manufacturing processes and process revisions
used in production. Developed documentation of processes, mapped processes, and analyzed failure modes.
Position used manufacturing expertise in day-to-day production to address assembly problems on production
lines. Identified and implemented opportunities for continuous improvement and increased efficiency.
Assumed responsibilities of managing and training of operators for the Insulator/Electrode Bonding process
in April 2008 decreasing the scrap from 35.52% (average of first quarter 2008) to 2.59% for the last quarter
of 2010, which saved the company more than a million dollars over two years.
Through the implementation of lean manufacturing principles the efficiency of the Insulator/Electrode
Bonding process was increased by implementing more accurate standards and increasing operator
accountability. Improving the efficiency from an average of 76.8% for 2009 to an average of 105% for the
first half of 2010. The improved efficiencies resulted in a year over year savings of over $100,000.
Through the implementation of better training, time standards, and strict accountability on a subassembly
laser-welding manufacturing line the number of operators required for production was decreased from 4 to 1
while increasing throughput yield. Resulting in a year over year savings of three full time employees and
$40,000 in additional cost reduction.
