Employment History

Sr. Piping Designer Nana-Worley Parsons -Alaska (Aug 2015 - now)

Currently assigned to the Kuparuk Field maintenance division for Conoco

Phillips/North Slope. Our projects include maintaining and updating

existing well sites, processing facilities, pig launchers, test separators

and pipe racks. Duties include flying to the North Slope and doing all

field walk downs in inclement weather conditions while determining tie-in

points, interfaces, and sketching piping routings. I attend meetings as

required and develop all piping design for the project to include;

isometrics, 3D models, piping plans/sections and BOM's. All material

tracking is performed using a program called SAP, a Conoco Phillips

materials/projects software system. I work single status on most jobs and

interface with a facility engineer during the design phase. I work with

high pressure piping systems; 1500# and 2500# at the well heads and 300#

and 150# in the processing facility. All work is designed using Bentley

Auto Plant.

Principle Designer TPG Services Inc., Carlsbad, NM. (Feb 2013 - June

2014)

I was assigned as a Sr. Piping designer, working on a new sulfur recovery

unit for NCRA Petroleum. My main assignment was to evaluate, calculate and

design the main pipe rack for the new plant to include all bent elevations,

spacing, routing of pipe and tie-ins for off- site piping, flare system

evaluation and establishing major equipment maintenance zones for shut

downs. I interfaced and communicated all layouts to the structural and

electrical departments via weekly meetings. All design was accomplished

using Auto Plant piping/equipment software along with Navisworks software.

Other duties included building equipment from data sheets, laying out PSV

platforms, utility stations and eyewash protection stations. Performed

stress analysis on hot piping, designing expansion loops where required and

reported directly to the lead engineer for all assignments and interface.

Sr. Piping Designer Anvil Corp., Bellingham, WA (April 2012- Jan 2013)

Sr. Piping duties for a new Naphtha Reformer/ Catalyst project for BP Oil.

My roles were to identify tie-ins, perform field walk downs, generate

fabrication isometrics, route new piping systems, layout equipment,

generated lines lists, checked P&ID's, generated stress isometrics and

create all necessary drawings to accomplish project goals. Routed piping

through a series of 4 phase heat exchangers, located pumps and designed the

"steam out" systems on all new equipment providing manifold systems and

steam traps. Used "Point Cloud" laser scans for existing piping locations

along with NavisWorks 9.0 for all model integration and visual needs. I

also worked on an existing HSL Diesel Generator project which added a new

coolant skid. Provided demo packages, tie-in details and new pipe routings.

Frequently asked to check others work using NavisWorks. All 3D Layouts

were created using AutoCAD 2012 and Bentley Auto Plant 2012 piping

software.

Sr. Piping Designer GE Water Technologies, Bellevue, WA. (July

2011 - Mar 2012)

Responsible for the layout and design of new "turnkey" boiler feed water

evaporator facilities for clients in northern Alberta, CA, providing

equipment layout, piping design, P&ID review, GA review, off-site tie-ns

and drawing packages. Routed piping between evaporator towers and

crystallizer's facilities, providing pipe support selection, stress

analysis (anchors and guides) piping and design reviews using NavisWorks.

Also assigned the task of checker working other's works in different

process sections of the plant using Bentley Auto Plant 2009 and Navisworks.

Sr. Piping Designer Chemithon Corp. Seattle, WA. (Oct 2007 - Jun 2011)

Created equipment layouts and piping design for modular "skid mounted" S03

and Hydrous ammonia generator skids. Created equipment locations, routed

all piping, provided electrical access, identified off site tie-ins and

created piping isometrics as part of the final package. I coordinated with

our on-site fab shop for any design issues that were overlooked. I worked

in the field during construction as part of a team for connecting and

starting up the skids. All 3D design was created on AutoCAD2007 using

Bentley Auto Plant.

*Took time off from work from Sept 2006 thru Sept 2007.

Sr. Piping Designer The Harris Group Inc., Seattle, WA. (Sept 96' - Aug

2006'.)

Created detail piping and equipment layouts for local oil refineries within

the Northwest area. My roles were to define and coordinate each project

assigned while being responsible for all piping layouts, isometrics,

support design, tie-ins, line numbers, valve lists, drawing indexes and

preliminary stress review. I also performed P&ID field walk downs, created

equipment layouts, piping isometrics, piping packages and support packages.

Projects to include: Crude Unit Heater, Light Ends Unit Storage project

and No.1 Diesel Unit Gas Compressor Installation. I was assigned to the

field at various times during construction. All design was created on

AutoCAD

using CADPIPE.

Sr. Piping Designer NLK Corp., Tukwila, Wa. (Jan 91' - Aug 96')

I was assigned to a new Pulp and Paper project in charge of the twin roll

press area and brown stock screening. My roles at first were to act as a

piping designer, laying out the twin roll presses, screens, conveyors,

pumps and piping. I was later promoted to area lead over this area and had

four people working under me. I generated manpower estimates for all the

piping drawings, sections and details, and held responsibility for the line

lists, equipment lists and tie in list. I oversaw all design progress and

held weekly meetings to oversee drawing progress. I was assigned later to

the field for construction for a period of one year. While in the field, my

roles were to assist during shut down, locking out tanks/equipment, re-

designing piping runs as needed, hydro testing, working with contractors

and general field support help.

Sr. Piping Designer Christensen Engineering, Bellingham, WA. (Jun 88'

- Dec 1990'.)

I was assigned to a new Coker Unit #2 for Shell Oil Corp. as a Sr. piping

designer. My roles were to generate manpower estimates, line lists,

equipment lists, tie in lists, as well as layout equipment and pipe rack

extensions. Other duties included supervising a team of four assigning

tasks and overseeing design progress. I was assigned to the field for

construction afterwards for a period of one year. Also worked on projects

for BP oil North Slope Alaska installing (2) pig launchers and receivers. I

worked off existing drawings and field notes to locate equipment and route

piping to include pipe supports and restraints. While in the field, my

roles were to assist during shut down, locking out tanks/equipment, re-

designing piping runs as needed, hydro testing, working with contractors

and general field support help.

Piping Designer Stearns & Roger Engineering, Denver, CO. (Apr 80 - May

88.)

I was assigned to the Kuparuk Sea Lift Project for Arco Oil Alaska. I

started off working in the layout department as part of the "mentoring"

program for skill growth. I attended a 6 month intensive piping school

modeled after The Flour Corporations piping school and was taught equipment

layout, piping layout, instrumentation and structural. My first assignment

was to be part of the layout of the gas compressors and all interconnecting

piping systems. I located equipment, utility stations, maintenance zones

and firewater/halon systems. I worked closely with all disciplines for

project coordination.

Another of my assignments was in the Model Shop building a 3/8" scale model

of the Compressor Module, creating the 3/8" scale plastic model.

Another role was providing design of water and steam injection systems at

the well sites for CPF1 and CPF2. Spent 1 year in Kuparuk, Al for module

interconnects.
