Chapter 1 grant for the school district. Trained staff on self-protection and responded to any crisis within

ADDITIONAL CRISIS RESPONSE EXPERIENCE
Member of the State of Indiana Emergency Response Team that covered every school district in the state.
1989 to 1991.
Responded to New York City 9/11, spending about 3 weeks in lower Manhattan mostly at Ground Zero
working with intense anxiety, fear, suicidal and homicidal ideation. Did many many debriefings
sometimes seeing hundreds of people a day.
Intense preparation for Sri Lanka with the PAR Foundation of Chattanooga and Green Cross International
for Tsunami Relief however due to unforeseen circumstances, including placing money in foreign banks,
this mission was cancelled.
Spent 2 weeks in New Orleans responding to Hurricane Katrina again working with intense anxiety, fear,
anger, depression, suicidal ideation and illegalities. Once again did many debriefings on some days
seeing more than 300 people.
Contracted with EAP’s and Insurance Companies over the last 12 years providing numerous crisis
response and debriefings in the workplace in and around Athens GA.
Member of the Athens Crisis Response Team and was the Incident Commander on many of our responses
including a shooting with multiple deaths, two different student deaths and our response at the largest
evacuation center in the state of Georgia for evacuees from New Orleans due to Hurricane Katrina. In
this response we had over 90 volunteers working 7 days/week mostly during the day but some night
responses as well. The Athens Crisis Response Team is the on call emergency responder for the Strategic
National Stockpile in Georgia’s Public Health Region 10 and for Athens Regional Hospital.
Trained the CDC’s Nuclear Response Team in crisis management of a terrorist nuclear event.
