well as raw materials. Also, responsible for commodity tracking and analysis for the organization on a
daily/weekly basis as needed as well as participating in Kaizen and Lean Training Events.
• Directed and participated with venture capital consultants in negotiations resulting in a $2,575,000
savings with Strategic Suppliers (Raw material, machined parts, metal fabrication).
• Independently managed market basket quoting of metal fabrication, machine parts and weldments
resulting in savings of $455,000
• Initiated and managed a new recycling program of scrap metals as well as all other recyclables and
solid waste resulting in a savings of $105,000 and a greener footprint.
2005-2007 Heisler Industries, Fairfield, NJ O.E.M. of Packaging and Labeling machinery
Purchasing Manager- Managed all aspects of Purchasing, strategic planning, supplier selection,
consolidation, qualification, sourcing, cost reduction and value analysis initiatives. In addition, flow of all
raw materials: stainless, carbon steel, bronze, brass, aluminum, plastics. As well as Outsourced fabricated and
machined parts, castings, domestic and off-shore electronic components, motors, drives, circuit breakers, PLC
controls, and enclosures. Managed a supply base of over 250 with a spend of 7 million dollars. Initiated and
managed a Kanban system for hardware, fittings and electrical components.
• Saved $27,500 through deeper negotiated discounts on targeted controls, multipliers deepened 10-
12% in key categories for two consecutive years. Eliminated most if not all published price
increases
• Negotiated a new Contract with UPS, resulting in a savings $18,000-$22,350 yearly on both
domestic and international shipping costs.

Service Manager- Managed a staff of 14 service technicians installing and servicing beverage systems as
well as purchasing of all beverage equipment, repair components, tools and fleet maintenance.
2001-2004 Coperion Corporation Ramsey, NJ. $50 mil OEM of Electrical equipment
Electrical/ Mechanical Purchasing Agent- Responsible for purchasing 500+ SKU’s and managing VMI
programs on long-lead high-ticket components. Additionally, worked closely with engineering on value analysis,
EDI release, review of BOM’s, drawings and schematics. As well as sub-contracted custom control panels
and domestic and off-shore components including motors and drives, PLC and temperature controllers, circuit
breakers, transformers, dies, fabricated and machined parts to print, raw materials and kitted components with
a purchasing volume of $7-8 mil annually. Included in my responsibilities were supplier selection, sourcing
and qualification, ISO9000 audits, supplier consolidation and VMI programs.
• Saved $90,000 by re-negotiating an existing contract with a major supplier resulting in a 14.5% overall reduction.
• Reduced labor $100,000 through implementation of a kitted parts program that reduced transactions and
Labor- 2 -3 hours per kit.
• Cost reduction: 26% on key components through global resourcing program.
• Reduced carrying costs on $12-15,000 of inventory monthly and reduced lead times from 12+ weeks to 6 weeks through VMI
programs with key suppliers.

Purchasing Manager/Sub-Contracts Administrator- Worked closely with Engineering on review of
BOM’s, drawings, specifications and supplier qualification audits prior to release for outsourcing. Domestic
and offshore (European and Pacific Rim) components including switchgear, custom circuit boards, fabricated
sheet metal, sub-contracted sub-assembly modules, power distribution units and turnkey private labeled
products with purchasing authority of $5-7 + million annually. As well as co-ordination and purchasing of
contracted services and materials for site construction and equipment start-up and a member of our Value
Analysis, ISO9000 and TQM councils.
• 18% cost reduction on key components of entire product family by resourcing and initiating VMI
programs that resulted in reduced lead-times from 11+ to 6-8 weeks.
• Reduced costs over 22% on the resourcing of major offshore components in addition to freight costs.
• Saved $200,000 through value analysis and resourcing custom fabricated enclosures.
