Simplicity Bank – Chief Lending Officer, Covina, CA 2013 to present (current merger)
As the Chief Lending Officer and member of the Executive Management Team, participate in the
establishment and direction of organizational strategic planning and performance. Responsible for
formulating, managing and leading the strategic direction and ongoing operations of the lending areas
including Credit Administration, Commercial and Residential Real Estate lending, Consumer lending,
Loan Servicing and Collections.
• Instituted operational changes within the first 90 days; realigned Commercial lending
organizational structure and Consumer lending process flow resulting in record production and
loan volume y/y growth of 60% and 52%, respectively.
• Identified critical lending areas and product gaps that resulted in:
o Implementation of product cross-sale incentive plan resulting in 195% y/y increase in
ancillary product sales.
o Launching of new loan products including Motorcycle loan, 97% residential mortgage
product, expanded risk based lending tiers, introduction of auto buying service.
o Expanded customer delivery channels through development of an on-line application
and improved call center application process flow.
• Instrumental in the removal of lending MRA’s and operational findings issued by the OCC from
previous year’s exam. 2014 OCC exam completed with zero lending material weaknesses.

Engaged by Seattle Metropolitan Credit Union as interim Chief Lending Officer to assess and re-classify
the Commercial and participation loan portfolio and to oversee the Real Estate, Consumer and Collection
departments.
• Worked collaboratively with the CEO and State and Federal regulators to remove 100% of lending
operational concerns and completed a State and Federal audit with zero lending material
weaknesses which resulted in the CAMEL rating being raised 2 points.

• Oversaw management of a $640 million dollar loan portfolio including all aspects of loan

period.
• Developed and executed strategic plans for real estate, consumer and business loan growth,
