Dear Human Resource Manager:
Please consider me for the position of Water Restoration Manager. I am the
owner of Yost Contracting and Restoration, LLC in Martins Ferry, Ohio. I
started this business nine years ago with a $2,000.00 loan from my mother,
and to this day have no outstanding loans for my business. I worked the
business with only one paid helper for quite a few years. Along with
performing skilled labor and troubleshooting, I did all the estimating,
ordering, sales, and customer relations. I built relationships with
material representatives and distributors. Through word of mouth, I
prospered and grew the business each year. By 2014, my business grew so
large that I could not maintain adequate labor to service contracts due to
labor deficiencies.
Through my experience, I have great insight as to what companies require to
function properly, and what was most essential for my business. For me,
that was a need for skilled managers to carry out my orders and see to the
business philosophy and ethics that made my company successful.
I am a husband, father of four, trustworthy, drug free, and I possess a
valid driver license. I have developed great customer service skills, as
well as leadership and management abilities. I know how to delegate to
employees. I understand efficiency, and getting the job done with very
little waste of time and resources. I would think my major skill adapting
to challenges for completing tasks. Anyone can do a credible job when
things go well. I have great experience in suppliers delivering the wrong
materials, company vehicles breaking down, and making sure that tarps are
available when there is rain in the forecast. I understand when crews need
to complete a job before a long weekend and the effects of on time
completion so that financial draws can be performed. I understand that time
is money and doing a job right the first time is an asset on multiple
levels and a major asset to a company.
I welcome the opportunity to interview with you. I can be reached at the
above phone number, and I check my email frequently. I don't expect you to
take my word as to experience and effectiveness, but will provide you with
details of jobs, growth and factual information that will allow you to make
an informed decision as to how I will benefit your business.
Sincerely yours,
Russell Yost
