Highly skilled maintenance technician with extensive experience in troubleshooting, repair and maintenance

of manufacturing, scientific, medical and avionics equipment. Experience includes diagnostics; sourcing of

parts; inventory control; and hiring, training and supervision of new employees.

WORK HISTORY

2014-Present Village Pet Outfitters, Kenosha, WI

Assist e-commerce business with inventory control on a part-time basis. At the same time, independently

work on various residential projects (i.e., install under-cabinet LED lighting, install new outlets and

troubleshoot non-working outlets, replace electrical circuits, repair lighting fixtures, generators, etc.).

2007-2012 Maintenance Technician, Curtiss-Wright Corp. (fka IMC Magnetics, Inc.), Tempe, AZ

Troubleshot various machines used in the production of aerospace valves, solenoids, etc.

Most of these machines were no longer in production, and repair required sourcing parts from all over the

world. Designed test boxes for assembly personnel to use to insure maximum quality. Relocated out of state

(to AL) in late 2010; continued to assist the company in sourcing parts on an as-needed basis.

2006-2007 Maintenance Technician, Circuit Express Inc., Tempe, AZ

Maintained all equipment used in the manufacturing of multi-layer circuit boards. This included routers,

presses, ovens, plating bath controls, pumps and all plumbing and electrical systems.

2004-2006 Maintenance Technician, Premier Building Systems Inc., Phoenix, AZ

Maintained all equipment used in the manufacturing of structural insulated panels. This

included 20” panel saws, air presses, chain saws, hand routing devices known as ‘Hoggers’

and a CNC Router. Performed preventive maintenance on all equipment; prepared and maintained the

required PM documentation.

1992-2004 Service Manager/Radiation Safety Officer, UPA Technologies Inc., Westchester, OH

Maintained to a component level five different manufacturers ’ lines of thickness testers. The methods of

measurement were X-ray fluorescence, Beta-Backscatter, Magnetic, Induction, and Eddy-Current. Trained all

personnel on the above-mentioned equipment as well as radiation safety. Other duties included sourcing of

obsolete parts, inventory control, computer databases, and acting as liaison between the company and the

state of Ohio for the onsite radioisotope lab.

1990-1992 North American Service Manager, Alnor Nuclear Inc., Skokie, IL

Oversaw the modifications of existing Alpha, Beta, and Gamma dosimeters. Maintained Dosimeter systems

used in nuclear power plants nationwide. Maintained to a component level the Alnor TLD system (Thermal

Luminescence Detector) as well as the SR-90 Irradiator system.

1985-1990 Field Service Technician, Seiko Instruments USA Inc., Chicago, IL

Repaired to a component level Fluorescent X-ray Thickness Gauges throughout the United States and

Canada. Duties also included initial setup and training on calibration, applications, and day-to-day use.

Maintained to a component level the Thermal Analysis product line, which included the following modules :

DSC 100, 200, 300 (Differential Scanning Calorimeter), TG (Thermal Gravimetry), TGDTA (Thermal

Gravimetry Differential Thermal Analysis), DTA (Differential Thermal Analysis), SS (Stress Strain) and the

SSTGA (Stress Strain Thermal Gravimetry Analysis).

Repaired to a modular level the following radio systems : UHF (Ultra High Frequency), VHF (Very High

Frequency), HF (High Frequency), SSB (Single Side Band), IFF (Identify Friend or Foe), ECL (Emergency

Crash Location), and onboard intercom systems.
